Other than me being a PvMer mostly these days, the rest of your post is just plain wrong.

Lets duel then. I'll play a red non faction character and you can play a blue faction character with the faction artifacts, town buff, whatever other crutch you need. You will not get a lvl 3 spell off on me.

Your acting like "Story line or Role Playing stuff" really matters more than balancing game mechanics. I mean look at the fact that various npcs take BRIBES now... I could easily see a legitimate method for Governors to allow REDS access to the town buffs. Perhaps the RED must FUND it??? or Maybe a new quest that delivers supplies to the Gov's Town etc. Role playing reasons for REDS accessing Town Buffs are EASY to make FOR or AGAINST... but Balance? Blues get a big phatty PvP bonus that's impossible for REDS to get? That's just straight up UNFAIR. I mean if you think about it REDS are basically "specializing" in PvP by becoming RED but the new town buff system is penalizing them in the one thing they are specializing in??? LoL... Imagine if there was a way to do a quest so you could "specialize" in being a MERCHANT... perhaps receiving a discount to vendor pricing.... Then imagine that discount only applies if your character is a RED. It would be quite silly no?

uh huh... so you can whine when I kill you with a stealth archer or mystic thrower or tamer or whatever of my 3 dozen other characters because it was gimp, or lucky or whatever else. Just like every other time in general chat when pvpers spend more time talking than dueling.
I am under no delusions about beating you (or really anyone else) in true one on one pvp (assuming no scripts, hacks, or speeder used). I haven't 1 on 1 in about a year. When I do harrowers, it's on my sampire or 4x120 bard or tamer with a rune beetle.
But, if it will make you feel better about yourself, sure, I'll duel you. I'm heading out tonight to play descent, but ICQ me 2166691 and we'll set something up. I am sure you can use the insurance money.

Ya know I'm not trying to be an ass, but why do people who never leave trammel, unless to either go to their house if they happen to still live in bad ole Fel..or to try to sneak off an island spawn, give two damns if buffs are even in fel and available to reds to begin with? And if you do pvp..then the only real reason you disagree is purely so you can have an edge, even if it's a "marginal" one

And since the voting system was implemented with the fact that reds can´t vote then it should stay that way. It should only be changed if there´s a real reason for it and imo this topic isn´t one of those reasons. Not even close.
There are and should be consequences to being red. Live with them.
And if you don´t like those consequences then you can go blue again. Simple as that.

I don't know why this is such an argument.
Back and forth about faction artifacts. Who cares? If you don't pvp it doesn't effect you.
What people do in Fel makes no matter to people who don't go there.
Let both facets use the Trade deals. Who cares. My GOD. Factions is dead. People are stressing faction artifacts? Who cares who used them. Most everyone in the PvP scene did at one time.

Min/maxing isn't a mod tweak...try making a useful 4/6 chin nox deathstriker without using an orny..well with the buffs you can quite easily and gain at minimum 2 mods..that can be extremely decisive I'm wether you live or die in a fight..

So the thread descended to "Duel Mah Main" as all seasoned observers knew it would, and yet apparently the original poster is going to win that duel despite not having access to the buff he's demanding, thus showing he thinks it's not that relevant at all? Ahh PvP "Logic"...! The sort that claims that they're hard-bitten warriors who put the work in to be just that strong... but want the benefits of a roleplay focused mechanic without doing any of the roleplay involved to get it at all. Whilst simultaneously claiming "carebears" need to be forced to go to Trammel and do stuff they hate in the hopes of getting rewards, rewards that they will kill you for after you do all the work and take anyway, because apparently they're the most precious little snowflake people in the world and their playstyle is so much more important. But Trammies are the entitled ones!
That's why people come into these threads and mock them; you guys are the Worst People In The World. Hell a PvPer even gave an alternative which would fit the lore and encourage Fel fighting in Bucs; it would be self regulating and self contained, a viable solution and a reasonable request; and the idea was largely ignored for the "Forum PvPz dramah" instead. So hy would any Dev want try and give you what you want, when many of you can't even be honest about what it is you really want?

Why should murderers get town buffs? It makes no sense, they are criminals, no town in their right mind would buff up wanted murderers, they'd lock them in jail.
(sarcasm) How about if the murderer can make it to the town stone before the guards get him, he can get the buff, otherwise he is caught and can't use that character for a whole year (/sarcasm).
My understanding earlier is that almost every town buff can be replicated by some of the food items added after High Seas... so why do murderers need the town buff again when they can just cook what they need? If I am wrong, I apologize, but I don't see the need for devs to work on this when they already can get this buff through in game means.
