Peeps might be trying to sell theirs off before their value drops, although, a great deal of people believe the value will not drop too much since horses are generally thought of as more desirable than swamp dragons when it comes to looks.
I don't see the logic in selling off a non spawning creature because another style is going to respawn for a limited time.
The Dread Mare is a Dread Mare, A Dread Swampy can't ever replace its uniqueness. It's like saying, they're gonna stop making the Ford Mustang and the Camaro will take it's place. A stang is a stang, the camaro has its own standing.

out of all the mounts they could have picked they went with a swampy!? worste looking mount in game. very lame.

Maybe that's true for some people.
But to me and most of fel players I am comfortable to say this...
A dread mare is a dread mare if you got a dreadmare is good for you.
A black swampy that's as good as a dreadmare (with an option that you can camp them until you got the best stat ones which is better than a nice looking **** stat dreadmare in PvP)
So in short
A dreadmare is a dreadmare, a free dread swampy thats as good or better than a dreadmare is better than a dreadmare. Especially not only you can easily get one with better stats than all the existing dreadmares, their firebreathe will also do more (since you can camp for max str ones) their breathe attack also POISONS.
Trammies/Bank Sitters stand point Dread > Swampy.
PvPers Stats and Practicality > Looking pretty.
I'm going to have to test firebreath again since the greater dragon nerf but last I checked firebreath's formula is creature's HP/5 - %targetresist. Either way, a breath with poison is def better than what dread's use.

Control factor for it will be an issue... Gimped out Dread Riders might still prefer the Mare if the control factor for the Bane Dragon makes them too much more difficult to handle.

Im sure all us gimped out PvP tamers will have no problem handling the dread swampy....... Also I personally think swampies are the ****.
You`d prefer Dread Ridgeback or Bane Ridgeback...... lol
What about Bane Unicorn?
it would make sense because the opposite of poison resistance would be poison breath! Plus, it would **** off even more people than the swampy look because only females could ride it.
Llama spit so they be the first choice for a poison attack. "you see a bane llama" ya much better. Slap some harpy wings animation on it and color it neon pink. You say "trick" and the packs appear on its back and can no longer ride but pack loot out from a hunt.
Hahaha, now a bane llama is the kind of pet I'd just have to tame lol. Not neon pink with wings necessarily *hates pink* but an evil llama would just be class IMO.
