I can kill him if he would stand and not move ..

My Archer - 190 stamina (45hci,100di,55ssi,50ep,50hld,)
You just mess up this class, and I even no desire to fight against Mage, TK I'M INTERESSNO DRINK FROM BANKS AND GET 10 arrows 1.

I recommend having a house for pvp tournaments and then bi-weekly having the battle night. Advertise it and hold a price for the first place winner of 1 mill. Charge 50k for people to watch the event and have an area sectioned off for them where they are somewhat safe and cannot cast on the entrants.

This would allow you to see how pvp works as well as practice. You could even make it a 1v1 or 2v1 event classes.

No they did not...

And archers are still very able to kill mages. I just love getting hit 80+ with Yumi when I'm playing my mage. Not.

Archer should not die to parrymage without getting stuck somewhere, that's a fact. Mysticmage or Necromage could maybe do suprising combo to take archer down but not parrymage.

Archers 1v1...forget it they cant even hit me, Cast demon and then expolde flamestrike and its good night archer.

I have 2 vollems, poor old archer...cant even hit me and i sent 2 vollems while i para spam him....Good night archer.

Mages have it way to easy, suits are much easyer to put together, and then magery with Parry/DCI/Wrestle is way over powered.

Well, you lack inscription so if archer uses apple your explo FS makes like 50-60 dmg? Your demons are casting like hell I quess lol.

But then again, any more offensive magetemplate will rip you 1on1 so your defensive mage has its problems.

I have a mage like that on one shard. Bush and parry with gm scribe and 60 necro. It is great against dexers. BUT - it has a weakness. 0 resist makes him para and poison bait when fighting mages or tamers with casting pets.

It is very strong against some templates, but very weak against other templates. Balance.

Do you see? Kind of like Rock Paper Scissors?

That being said, i can rail a mage on my archer dexer, its not even funny. I don't care if its a parry mage, it just takes longer =/ There may be a time or two i have to off screen from not fizzling a big dump. But ehh


Mages are fine, and archers are jsut about fine too anymore. If anyone wants to complain about something, complain about mystic lol. its nasty!

Yeah there are magetemps without resist, usually to get more points to offensive side. Lacking resists has it's problems and I gotta say I prefer having resist.

If you want I'm pretty sure any archer from my guild will go 1on1 against mage on openground. Setokaiba, Sneaking Death, Bruenor, Balron, Deathcourier etc.

I turned my archer to sampire while back so can't help ya with this.

SMALL your problem is staying too long on screen with mage and not paying attention to RPD and Blood oath. Atleast against my mysticmage you have stayed on screen half health when having spell plague on and I'm getting off big spell combo while shooting to my RPD. Also you should use some mortal weapon more efficiently with that composite. Also you are not using your composite and mortal weapon together very well. If you get a chance pay attention how experienced archers get mages to big problems using mortal correctly forcing mage to run and then trying to nail em with moving shots. Also some archers know how to paralyze shot in right places.

Archer is easy template to play, but still some are waay more effective with them then others.

Edit: also seen you getting killed by chaz pretty much the same way, or you killing yourself to blood oath. Pay attention to your healthbar mate.

You have something I wanted to surprise, what you spell with 0 resist?
Go to Europe and see how playing Hacker with 0 resistance.
He was 1 vs 1 - the mage does not even competition.
So this is an imbalance of which I told you.
What if you have 120 resist, he had 0 - but you will fight on equal terms.
It all depends on your skills already.
But I am concerned about the fate of Archer, who have nothing to 1 vs 1 mage can not do.
Yes, I kill the magi, but this instance is no longer a battle, just luck

Found even peshyh magicians who run away from you - do invas Mani, and nothing more.
And you can not kill them, because parry and invas Mani good place

You have zero spell defences/counters verse special moves. When you have two or three d.o.t. special effects on you at the same time and nothing but magery on your side you will totaly understand this.

Verse people with 120 healing and maxed EP items you have zero chance to kill them...forever

People will run off screen before you can kill them 99.8% of the time.

When you rez, you have to wait and med or your useless.

If your in stat...you can not compete.

Mages are the hardest templet to train and the hardest to play, it takes real skill, very good timing and even better eye/hand cordination.

i just beat the **** out of yew at yew gate the other night (i was pretty pumped on this one, i gotcha right before u made it back to the guard zone ie. your safe place)...great Lakes is a freeshard now!? holy ****! I want a refund check. this is absurd!

Why don't u just run along, and look for someone spawning so u can drop nox fields on ur blue just to try to annoy people, and skip into teleporters when someone looks like they might be coming after you.

You would think playing a mage since 1999 would make u...i dunno....better? less cowardly? something man!

I dunno, honestly, a mage is about the most balanced skill there is in uo, and the most "skillful"

You can go with high firepower, but you will lose defensive ability. You can go defense and lose alot of offense. All the while, you are still an effective template. So many templates out there are based on offense offense offense, smoke bomb, run away. that part is the most pathetic.

Some of it i will have to agree. Mystics are pretty....errm. POWERFUL, some of the dexers are pretty sick.

So many templates, and ungodly ability are based on the fact that the person can run off screen, chase you down with archery specials, etc etc, and a high speed.



Once that is taken care of, and maybe a little look at a few mystic spells, pvp will be about as balanced as it can get. But in a truely balanced pvp environment...how fun is pvp going to really be? Its not possible for true "balance"

Geezh... If the most defensive mage around is effective against the very template it's aimed against it doesnt make it overpowered? That's what I was pointing out to you. You parrymage might be good against archers but offensive mages will rip you apart. Even if you were experienced mage, experienced necromage/mysticmage/tactmage would take you down, but then again they are weaker against the archer you are good against.

edit: thou I highly doubt you have taken many experience archers down 1on1 with your mage if you have played 2 weeks, but that's just me.

Exploit for insanely high archery removed, mages learned to put parry on to fight archers.

"Mages are so unbalanced, they block my arrows! How is dat possible!?!?!?! Nooooooo!"

So we're left with "Adapt or Whine."

You can Adapt
- Change your archer to have magic offensive abilities to compete with matches you can't hit.

- Add Fencing or wrestling to disarm the mage weapon then quick swap to bow

-Post on stratics demanding a nerf to the template you can't beat.

Option 2 helps no one.
