I'm not 100% on this but I think that for each shadow lord that is killed moonglow dies a little bit, the wrecked buildings seem to decay more.

Nothing in Moonglow is "wrecked,"

Things just haven't phased in.

Not sure about the theory, but the 'Glow area certainly looks "wrecked."

It looks like the rift is beginning to break up but only the machine is breaking up the rest of moonglow is exactly the same now as it was when this started and will remain that way until a patch changes it because all the buildings and land tiles are patched in solid.
