casting focus is like Protection kinda. The more focus you have the less often youll get interupted when hit during casting. with inscribes new feature and new items with casting focus on them you still cant get 100% though

Why is it 10%? With new arties and inscription I have seen at least 19% as a gargoyle. Maybe more.

Protection is -2 FC, -Physical Resist, -Magic Resist (forgot that one), no spells interrupted.

Casting focus gives a % chance to avoid interruption on any given hit, no penalties, up to the RNG.

Craft a weapon with hit spell 10% to get an idea of the odds.

It seems to me casting focus offers a low chance of continuing a spell while hit as opposed to protection that allows you 100% chance of casting a spell when hit with a consequence of having it of lower resists and base FC/FCR.

If all it does is replace Protection spell, I'll stay with the spell Slower casting and a need for 85% Physical resist is better than blowing a 100 skill points on Inscription...

Inscription used to also give a spell damage increase. Not sure if it still works that way. It may help some mages.

10% SDI in addition to item cap, yep.

Debatable. Sometimes, the RNG will be in your favor, other times, not so much. Still, I don't know how anyone can PvP with protection on, spells are so slow, hehe. For PvM, it's whatever.
