Okay. I had a friend of mine make some pots for me. Payed him nicely. When he was done he went to put all these newly made pots in the same stack as the old ones. Only problem is they wont stack. Now I have two stacks of all the pots I use. Not a big deal, but just curious if anyone knows a way to unbug one of them to where I can stack pots. Would be greatly appreciated.

Try emptying the old ones back into the keg and taking them out again. It should work. I have a bunch of things that wont stack. its a bug with older things mixing with newer things.

Gold has the same issue. When someone hands you a pile of coins, they won't stack with the ones you have. Usually just placing both stacks on the floor and back into your backpack a few times does the trick. This is only safe to do in a private home.

Or just wait a few seconds and try to stack them again.

There is a problem with items not stacking as it is though. But for freshly traded stackable items you have to wait a few moments before the items will stack so that the pile your getting does not automatically combine with any stack you already have in your pack when the trade completes. Why they added that who knows probably some exploit bug or other problem.

if they are locked down on your floor of your house then you might have to release them before adding more. a few stackable items do this.

Since no one here knows the actual answer to this riddle... I'll tell it to you.

If you're a human, use the skill "taste id" on both stacks... the reason they don't stack is because your character knows the type of potion for one stack, but not the other.

This method has fixed this issue for me every single time. The problem is-is that when my crafter makes pots... my other characters don't know what he made. The other problem is that when I loot pots off of corpses that I've killed... the char looting does not know the what those pots are either.
