I will be doing D3 this weekend. I've already had a chance to play GW2, and will pick up a copy when it releases, since it doesn't require a subscription fee. I may not do much more than wander around the cities/landscape looking at everything.

If it can run on Linux and I have a spare body to play games with then I will hehehe.
Seriously though, I'd love to try it if I get time. Currently working my way through a stack of Humblebundle games though, so what gaming time I have is going there right now. I'm falling behind on them badly as it is lol.

Well, looks like a few people from UO will try Guild Wars 2. I have per-ordered and am looking forward to playing. This will be my first serious attempt to play another MMORPG other than UO. I guess time will tell if it can hold my attention for 13 years like UO has.

I just went to their site, I remembered watching the trailer, It was still pretty awesome to watch again, even for the second time. I can't run EC correctly, so I doubt that would be any better. A problem I have is 'advertising' and 'concept' art being different from the actual in-game experience. (EA does it too, is why I'm leery).
There seems to be a lot of differences in game mechanics, some very interesting. Tab/Space bar for enemy selection is one, guessing they don't have 25-30 fire ants in a small area all frame skipping? I don't PVP, but I might be very tempted if I played as they seem to have some nice optionsthere as well.

Divinity's Reach is just about every bit as beautiful as some of the art/screenshots indicate.
The first screenshots I saw of Divinity's Reach from GW2, I thought that if you could upgrade UO to that, you'd have a million+ people playing the game, easily, if not more.

GW2 is a maybe...D3 is a for sure....
I was excited for d3 until I tried the beta. Not so excited now. It seems fun still, but it seems to lack a lot of customization, which was one of my favorite parts of d2. I'll probably pick it up, but only once it goes on sale on steam or something.

Customization was deliberately restricted on D3 this weekend.
I had a lot of fun with it. I didn't get a chance to get out of the darker areas though, there are some parts of the map that I really want to see.

Both my hubby and I will be playing the upcoming weekend beta event & beyond. I, like Syrus, haven't been this excited about an MMO since UO & being a part of GW2 on the day it launches is icing on the cake for me - making it all the sweeter.

From what I understand, Guild Wars 2 was built on lower-end machines and is suppose to be very graphics friendly while still providing the player with wonderful visual effects. Here is what ArenaNet has to say about system requirements:

That is a really great idea! I've been looking at different guild sites and what they have to offer but have yet to find one that "fits". Being a part of a UO guild within GW2 would really be fantastic! So, if anyone does do this, PM me too please!

I've been playing it off and on today and yesterday. Not near as much as I would have liked, as yesterday I had some stuff to do with friends and today I've been unable to log in for a while now and I'm going out again tonight.
But from what I have played, it's really quite fun. Looks absolutely beautiful, and I'm a bit disappointed I haven't been able to wander around any of my favorite areas from GW1 yet. I had just taken a gate to Lion's Arch when I got logged out and haven't been able to get back on since.
