Anyone else lose a Paroxy in Shame?

2 weeks ago my Paroxy Swamp Dragon just up & disappeared while it was next to me in Trammel Shame. I had just died and as I was getting rezzed it died to a Vortex.
I came back and as I was killing off the Vortex my Paroxy just disappeared.
I had not gotten it rezzed yet but that never made a difference in the past. I hadnt even logged out with it still dead.
I had owned this Paroxy for many months with no issues before.

I have paged separate Gms on 2 different days and both of them said they tried to find it but it was gone. They then said that they cannot or will not do anything to restore lost pets and referred me to report a bug. Huh? They wont restore my obviously lost pet but they want me to spend my time helping them collect info? Thats just plain wrong.

I then pointed out to each of them that I still have the named pet ball in my pack that the Paroxy was attached to for proof but they both said that it makes no difference.

The worst part is that I am usually the first person on these boards trying to understand or defend Gm policy/procedures. Kinda makes me feel like a jackass lol.

Either way I am just wondering if I am not the only person to lose a pet in Tram Shame. Because if it appears to be common I will stop using one there.

I think this is a known bug some of the old paroxy dragons went poof. No way to tell if you had an old or new unless you got the drop yourself and know when you got it.

this happened to me in the labryinth, its a dispel bug, kind of odd since there was nothing around that could cast dispel on mine.

i lost mine in the exact way you did about a month or 2 ago.
died to a unbound EV, it then killed my proxy and it went prema gone.

I lost mine in the exact same way as you described, but not in shame but fighting Rikktor....
I died, Rikki killed the paroxy and it went poof....I paged a gm right away only to be told the exact same thing....can't find....blabalbala make a bug report blabla....and i should read up on the pet ball thing.. when i explained to him that it wasn't linked and that a pet-ball would do me no good when i don't have a bloody animal to link it with, he just repeated to read up on the pet-ball.....and no this was not an "old paroxy" I just have gotten it new FROM paroxy....so in my opinion the bug is back or never was truly found....I will not use them anylonger because I can't simply afford to loose 10-15 mio everytime I die....

Somehow this reminds me of the quiver of infinity altering to gargoyle...I am sure we told them dozen's of times that it goes poof if you alter it, but nothing was done to fix it...

i lost 3 quivers couple weeks past, paged a GM, he told me gargs cant shoot archery so thats why you cant alter a quiver, i told him to look at my wings (i was wearing a altered quiver of infinity) he just said "oh"
then the "submit a bug" thingy and he was gone.

It's not just prox's that go poof..

Son lost Charger of the Fallen mount in Shame when dismounted and killed. Seems its a bug on mounts of any kind.

join the ever growing club of people that have their swamp dragon poof. I have had this happen right after SA came out in the Abyss. same exact scenario. Unfortunately, I was first not believed, followed by a seemingly endless list of people with advise ranging from "don't use swampies" to "you should feed it, as it goes wild". All well intended opinions, I guess, but the bottom line was that in my case my guild mate was watching my body and saw the swamp ghost poof without it ever going wild. This bug cost me 10 mil in gold back then, and the only solid advise I have taken away from that whole episode was that it is cheaper to loose 100.000 regular swamp dragons, and they provide a better defense chance increase anyways.

so here's to you as well: sell the next swamp statue you win at paroxysmus to the next unsuspecting soul. I suggest a retail price of 10m to offset your previous loss and move on to cheaper and better... The bug won't be fixed.
