Any use for Magery except GT?

Greater Healing
Casting Gate
Casting Summons
Resurrecting People
Using Mind Blast
Casting Night Sight
Using Teleport
Marking Runes
Dispelling Peoples Gates in PvP
Poison or Fire Field for Misc Reasons

And those are just the ones I can think of that don't require Eval Int.

It depent of your other skills. For a crafter, it is nice as you only need 80-90 in skills and maybe jevelry with magery. Then you can gate around, remember no recall here.
Also you can kast EV and BS to kill spawn to get leather and unraw for imbuing. Or cast an element as pet to protect you.
You can heal / cure yourself.
You can use it to hide your char to get mobs to target something else than you.
You can unlock some treasure chest/kegs/barrels.

If you are a warrier on a good mount or ninja or garg, you can do fine without.

I'm a garg. My other skills are throw/tactics/bushido/chivalry. I have no eval or med. Almost always I have a weapon without spell channel equipped.

Find the houses, offering public teleporters and crystal portals and you will do find without magery

it's not terribly hard to get scnp mage - 15 wep to use.
