I'm thinking about dropping to one account, mainly because I don't have a ton of time to play anymore and paying for 2 seems a waste. My main problem comes down to housing. I have a castle and a luna house - both stuffed full. Logically, I should sell the luna place and cram everything into the castle.. but the account I plan to keep wont run magery all that often, so luna is far more convenient.... gah! WTB a basement to my luna house! Let me sink a few million gold onto extra storage, up to castle storage limit or something? Then again, I played wow with my brother in law for a bit - we have no room to complain about storage!

my advice is keep all accounts open.
And if you can't justify it beyond just having more variability in what char u play and more storage, then I guess you'll just have to start playing more huh? :p

Both are considered premium, valuable pieces of property in UO, but for me personally, neither would tempt me. I "don't like" castles, and I "don't like" Luna even more. For what is supposed to be a beautiful city of paladins, it shouts more "slums" to me.


From a practical standpoint, if the Luna house size allows max storage for customizable, and you think it is most convenient for how you will use the remaining character, then probably it makes more sense to purchase the increased storage option, and keep that one.

Really though, it comes down to your own preference.

Pay for one account one month. Then the other account the next.

I do that with 4 accounts. The way housing works you only have to pay for the account 1 month out of every four and you still get to keep the houses.

I have no crap, only pixel crack! Just because I have like 7k items of pixel crack, doesn't make it crap!

I could alternate months, that's not a horrid idea. At least until they fix the fix they put in that was supposed to stop that? I probably won't do that, feels almost like I'm cheating.

I agree with Luna not always being the best neighborhood, sometimes I think I should have kept the rune library in Zento, I did like it there.

Selling the castle to my neighbor... would mean me neighbor is going to need to buy all the pixel crack inside of it as well.. no small (read cheap) task! I could fit all the pixel crack I really care about into one house, the large majority of things in the castle are resources, rings, etc I could sell - so much work!

id ask myself is $15 per month is going to cut down my lifestyle, or what i would do if i had those $15 per month extra. and considering what you work as, i wouldnt say $15 would do that much.

I'd sell the Luna house. You would make a killing off it and where else in life can you sell a trailer and make premium profit?

As far as the stuff in it, I will be glad to hold it for you indefinitely (or until it is consumed).

what about those accounts some guys get to run the ghost cams. Get a bunch of them and just keep transferring your spare house to the next ghost cam account. 1 account you are paying for and yet you have 2 houses..

No, that's a disaster. When I was moving houses once I kept one on a temp account for a month while I moved, worked really well until I wrote down the wrong expiration time and had to pay to activate one to get it back off...

Shak makes a good point - if 15$ a month is going to make you or break you, then you're in trouble anyways hehe. You could leave it active for a few months while you come up with plans for the rune library, and then ditch it later on if EA fails to come through like they usually do.

You could also do what I do - the six month payment that cuts you down to 10$ a month. I don't get much time to play either, but I find that whenever one of my accounts is closed, it's the one I need the most when I get some time. Two prime pieces of real estate is just another reason to delay.

Maybe they'll give us a second house as a vet gift this year.


And no, I've never used the rune library, didn't know it existed.

...luna is just about the last place i am going to go to use a rune library. Same goes for shopping.
I used ot walk that ungoldy distance to the old rsa mall to shop. It was safer than luna, despite being far from any gz.

I would either keep the castle and sell the Luna house, keep the account holding the Luna house active every three months or get a friend (ie someone I trust) to hold the Luna house with all my stuff in it.
I'd definitely not get rid of the castle.
