Really curious why some items are and some items are not blessed. It would be wonderful if a developer could explain some of these as they come up...la

It's blessed because it's a Clean Up Britannia item. Clean Up Britannia items are supposed to be blessed. They were advertised as blessed, ergo, they can't take away the advertisement because that would be cheating players out of something they were promised. But it's not just that. Clean Up rewards were blessed for a reason. This reason is rather simple, really.

There was no Trammel back when Clean Up Britannia existed and you could receive your reward from public trash barrels in town (you could also receive them in your UNSECURE house. Housing wasn't secure back then so many houses were compromised where thieves could hide in your house).

The dev team did NOT want people to turn in all their junk for a reward only to have that reward get stolen one second later.

Don't expect them to unbless an item that's supposed to be blessed and promised as blessed. The dev team isn't going to do that just so thieves can get their giggles (especially from an item that was blessed purposefully to prevent thieves and PKs from getting them in the first place)

Sam Helm and Leggings weren't blessed specifically so thieves and PKs couldn't get them (insurance was already out by then), although it's true that they were advertised as blessed. *shrug*

Unlike Sam Helm and Leggings, however, Clean Up Brit items are entirely aesthetic and don't represent a balance issue (with the exception of Bless deeds)

I wouldn't be so hasty to say that Tiamat...I am feeling quite a bit of rage right now that if I grow a beard, it will never be specially dyed. How can I hope to compete with specially dyed bearded players?? :(

I'm downright salty about the blackrock thing. To get a darn piece I have to pk tranced miners in town guards rather than just take one or two for meself.

Why would it give us "giggles" to steal one of those items? I see it as something I could make a little coin from. Besides, the turn in tickets are not blessed...why should the gifts. Especially on Siege...la

TBH Rico none of the team can answer the question honestly as none of them were around during the Clean Up Britannia event years ago.

Sorry.

fell thiefs became useless since EA implented 'insurance'.

Unless you go to doom to steal...although those rares don't sell that great either these days.

They're Blessed because the Devs didn't want Galad or Evil Galad to steal them. But the owner would just hand it over anyways once Galad threatened to sick Roto Rooter on him. Hurrr!

ya just liek soulstones were only available for a limited time only, dont forget the hooded shrouds that were supose to be pre order gift only
both hooded shrouds and green soulstones have one thing in common, both are pre-order rewards. as in rewards in-game for buying something in real life (either pre-order the expansion or wait a few years and buy a legacy token). beard dye is a reward for doing something in game and can't be done in real life (pre-aos). although those legacy tokens never should have came out, it takes away from the original ones.
