Most of us users have asked Maxis to re-issue the "thank you" anniversary gifts, and attach the gifts to the ACTUAL ACCOUNT itself. This way it CANNOT be given to anyone else. Now if people are trying to sell this item I pray that maxis keep a $0.00 value to this item and NOT allow that price be any higher.

No wonder people are having so much trouble trying to play this game people are ALWAYS trying to find a way to cheat!!!. If you can't get money the usual way and you don't have the paitence to wait or make it the honest way. for whatever sake, get out of the game then., stop trying to mess up the game for other players.

Taking these "thank you" gifts that Maxis is so gracious enough to GIVE to us places a special meaning to the "gifts". People jumping up and down to receive them with the full notion of selling it to others for a astronical dollar amount. in my opinion, cheapens the value intent of the gift. this is the reason I am SO GLAD that Maxis decided to place the "Founders" emblem on each account and make it non-transferrable.</font>

Never had one previously because, despite being a "cheater" (*snicker*), I never had the cash for something like that.

Nor did I do what many folks have admitted doing when this item was offered in the referral program: Refer themselves.

Yep, at one point I had five accounts I was paying on, but since you needed to refer a really for real new customer and not just open a few extra accounts, I didn't get the four cannons and/or gnomes I'm "entitled" to *grin* So much for my leet cheaterz skillz. I'm too honest to have gotten those nifty little pixel thingies that should have "rightfully" been mine mine mine mine mine.

But hey, as soon as those founder/city badges go into effect, I'm sure I'll get to have one that says "Cheater". I mean, just because I've played fair for five frickin' years is no reason for Maxis to ignore all the times I've been accused of cheating. The pets were INTENDED to be rare objects and a drain in the game to get them, so yes, they are rare. The anniversary objects are a sign of a player having subscribed to the game for X amount of time, so no I do not support players who haven't earned them getting them either. It hasn't been said that the anniversary objects will or won't be tradeable, so there's still a chance that they won't. They *have* made a big deal out of making sure that you can pick your own primary avatar before Amnesty, so I think it'd be great if because of that they did make them non-tradeable/non-salable. Although really I think players like the OP are going to find themselves disappointed anyway since rares are not even worth 10% of what they were, so this 'get rich quick' type scheme ain't gonna make people as rich as it would have pre-merges.

people who cant make their own money by any means will always see other people makeing their money however they decide to do it even selling their gifts as cheating...

I personally think if someone wants to sell the fruit from a mystic tree a hundred times ar 1,000 simoleans then leave them alone to do so its their right, or if they want to sell the tree it self for a rediculus amount? who cares? its their right to get what they can for it... if they choose to sell, there will always be someone who has the cash to buy it wether it be in simoleans of dollers someone will always buy...

I agree! I don't know why people insist on calling something that is perfectly legal in the game cheating. If we are able to sell our gifts and people are willing to buy them then please tell me how it is cheating. It's not even unethical. I wish people would stop calling what is a perfectly legal action in a game cheating. It's a friggin' game.

Also, if people don't think that the ATM's are going to bring an influx of money into the game and throw off the balance think again. With the limits on what you can make in game there are plenty of people that will spend $100 or more buying pretend cash. THAT is what EA is hoping for or they wouldn't of implemented it. They couldn't care less if tons of money is all of a sudden thrown in the game as long as THEY are the ones that are reaping the benefits of it. Cap the payouts, make people use ATM's, make more money. You can say all you want that people don't have to buy money but we all know they will. Anyone who spends over $100/month on just accounts is not going to play with the measly little payouts that they are giving us.

Now back to my $40/year pogo account that brings me a thousand times more entertainment than this game ever will again.

Other things come up.

There were two major problems this month. An exploit and a server issue were the game was down for almost two days.

The economy is a huge issue as well right now.

As much as I want to see my gifts and my locks and play the lava lamp game, I think there are other issues that are more important, require more time, and should be done before fun silly little things like this.

Oh, and if they post any kind of explanation as to why the deadline slipped, they get accused of stalling, or making excuses... Sheesh, it's a wonder they talk to us at all!

I've been playing this game since beta and I've been an active forum member since then as well. I have seen it all, I have heard it all.

This has happened before in the past too and then they stop telling us anything they had planned just in case they don't actually do it.

I hate that a few people have to ruin it for the rest of us.
I understand that they are people just like us.
Mistakes happen.
I'm sure they are working hard to get everything just right for release

Everyone just needs to support them, not tell them they are lying or doing a bad job. What help is it to call them out and tell them they are doing their job wrong. Nothing. I would like to see some of the complainers step in their shoes for a few days and see how rough it is to develop a game, work on the game, and deal with a demanding community.

On the sim selection page, where it used to say move, there is a new button that says make primary or something like that. You can make any one of your sims the primary avatar. The primary avatar will receive any gifts, the weekly bonus or game cards your account is due. Also if you switch to a free acct, that is the avatar you will be allowed to access. The others will be greyed out.

I think if they would go ahead with Amnesty it would temporarily smooth some ruffled feathers. We just mainly want to know that we arent being abandoned "again" by Ea and that someone is listening.

And Yes I too have a cannon I would trade for a tree or a Rare pet (besides affy or cheeta) I feel that if I earned it I should have the right to do with it whatever I wish. I dont believe its cheating or wrong either.
