I know the game doesn't have a big team and I'm sympathetic to that. I'm not asking them to have a QA department full of scientists with holograms floating in the air and @#$%, I'm just suggesting that maybe when they code a thing with like three buttons that they push each of the buttons once to see if they do what they're supposed to.
I am torn about broadsword. On the one hand, I am a returning player who is thrilled to see UO is still alive and kicking, with a dev team that manages to not just respond to players as best they can with their limited resources, but also put new and thoughtful content on the table.... there is an element of love for the game there, and I feel inclined to reciprocate with gratitude and appreciation, because, quite frankly, we are lucky to be playing this 18 year old MMO.... we are lucky it hasn't been shelved.... and we are lucky to have a dev team that has a vision for this game.... mesanna, misk, kyronix and others were guests on a podcast, spam spam spam humbug (episode 27 or so).... they talked about how there is a work in progress to populate eodon and to run a series of bug fixes come January.... this makes me glad.... and lol call me a sucker but I could hear love of the game in the tones of their voices (no, my name ain't bush and I didn't see stars in putins eyes)....
On the other hand, some (not all) of the stuff this dev team comes up with smack of big ideas half assed done.... and the things that escape their QA... wow.... but I feel inclined to give them a chance and the benefit of the doubt..... after all, they are big ideas and candides traveling companions taught us that half an ass ain't always so bad
