i would like a list of all rare lanterns thats out there .

The semi-rare ones include the orange and charcoal ones from Halloween 2006 (Twilight Lantern) and any sigil-hued one with a maker's mark (that could be a sub-hobby, right there).

Rares include:
Illumination of Truth (oceania)
A Container of Dark Energy From Umbra University (oceania)
A Ceremonial Lantern (sonoma)
Light Of New Year (asia)
Romanticists of Arriang (asia)
I stole Green Lantern (great lakes)
Luna is Under Attack, Be Wary At All City Gates (origin)
An Eerily Glowing Lantern (seige)
A Trapped Soul (baja)

Any of those would be impossible to buy, just about.

More common due to likely duping, would be the 'I Stole This Lantern,' ironically enough.

I've seen a trapped soul, dark energy, and the blaze one (dont know which one it is) come up more often than the "I stole this lantern"

When you traffic dense shards you get a lot of brokers and unfortunatly a lot of dupes :/

When Juaco quit he sold a few different lanterns but that was awhile ago.

When the ingot hues were added to the tinkering menu for a short while the lanterns created were default set to on and could not be turned off.

They make great lanterns for vendors if you want the light to stay on.

All but these lanterns (to my knowledge) will be turned off and sent to your bag if you try to put them on a vendors paperdoll. Vendors can only hold unlit lanterns unless they are from the ingot hue bug.

When AOS Came out these lanterns were renamed to "Of Exceptional Quality" and not "A Lantern Of Exceptional Quality"

A cheaper way to put a lit lantern on a vendor would be to use lanterns acquired by begging in heartwood. The begging lanterns act as the old bugged lanterns were and will never shut off allowing you to suit up a mass of vendors with lanterns for maybe 5k gold or sometimes even free as people often just drop them on the ground in heartwood when begging.
