Now, Im not one to complain about a template...I usally like them all. But the CU/Dexxer...its just out of hand. I mean seriously, when I have 125hp and I die almost instantly...while people are healing me...

I think its kinda overpowered. Thoughts?

When you say "para / Dismount / All kill" I assume you mean he's using riding swipe (para when mounted) hopping off his mount then swinging again to dismount you followed up with all kill ? I haven't seen it another way, but if your a mage try a few para fields depening on where your fighting... Keeps the Cu off you a bit though I admit it's not much of a help. If you REALLY get annoyed and are repeatedly facting the same person you can set a uoa macro specific to his pet so that in that split second you get to cast when he hops off you can potentially poison or at least deal it some dmg etc.

Vexxed thats exactly what I mean. I tried poison his dog, i tried paralyzing his dog, i was throwing walls to block him, casting heals in protection lolz...nothing seemed to work. I died six times in a row and gave up.:owned:

Silly question, did you try invising yourself too? Or getting one of the folks who were healing to invis? I wouldn't try to kill a cu while the tamer was still alive, they can take and heal too much damage to drop quickly to a solo attacker. Instead, I'd be looking at breaking target with it and going for the tamer instead.

Unless your intent on beating him (or even just not dieing) on that one template you could try some anti dexxer/pet templates/tactics.

Things I would consider:

100% Fire weapon to kill the Cu. Combined with Corpse Skin if possible.
Frog or serpent form (depending on how much you get hit, Cu's tend to hit well over their wrestle ability so Frog may be best) that will keep both him and the Cu poisoned in Frog form or allow you to kill the Cu in serpent form. While using one of those also using Mirror images for 90% melee divert and the above mentioned 100% fire wep, plus bandages (get 140 dex) and parra/bush if you can. Ideally a 100% fire diamond mace that you can swing at cap with, that will allow you to still be one handed.
Discord (though I'm fairly sure it doesn't affect Cu's healing skill only way to block that is poison and possibly mortal).
Ninjitsu for mounted speed animal form, for running away.
70 DCI.

Obviously you can't use all of that at once but combinations of it are the best chances you will have.

What is happening that a tamer/dexxor is almost killing you instantly?

aye, kill the tamer first. invis yourself to break contact with the dog.

than try to kill the dog before he logs off to save it. :thumbup1:

Ive tried killing the tamer first. Ive tried invising lol.I was frustrated about it last night, and made the post. I still think they are overpowered. *shrugs* Ill just keep on keeping on and adapt to win, or in this case, just survive.

[qoute]What is happening that a tamer/dexxor is almost killing you instantly?[/quote]

Nerve strike hits with damage, regular swings hit for damage, dismount hits for damage, ALL CU hits with nasy damage, dexer gets armor ignore off...deadola.

If you are letting him get off a nerve, hit, dismount and an armor ignore then you aren't doing something right.

The only time I have probs is when they hit with para/dmount/all kill. Sometimes that will get a kill..

EO para the dog? Most of those temps run no resist, so try mana vamping the dexxer. Disarm is also your friend. These temps are hard to kill, but not hard to take out of a fight. Mana vamp the dexxer, para the dog. A bard also helps, and a dexxer with EoO and a Fey Slayer wep (Pixie Swatter) drops them in 5-6 hits. Since none of these temps have vet, that quickly nullifies the entire template.

When you go for disarm you are risking your life if you dont react right.
So the tamer is risking getting disarmed (he can still run) but if he got you in para with a riding swipe and you do not have a trap box handy you can be instantly killed. (or dismounted and get ganked) He can run but you cannot.

Archers have it easy.
