I was just going to show a couple of pics but the whole process went very fast so I can show it all. Not meant to be a guide, you have a long quest to follow.
I did Narrative skilling. But this quest would be the same for the others.
I am adding Bard to my Archer Template which has GM in Arch, Tact, Anat, Healing, and Focus. I did not advance tracking from the beginning number. You dont have to add points into tracking to complete the template and advance.
Any finished char can click the Lute poster and get info on the Bard skill. You get travel expenses and a map of Britain. Visit the conservatory and travel around Britain's shady pubs and find out that there is a cult trying to sing evil songs or something. At this point you can return to the conservatory and get your food expenses paid for and move along after viewing a spectacular performance at the Knights Theater.
Or you can join the Bardic Cult and sing good songs.
Advance to this page to see what your template will gain and lose.
A Rogue will lose Tracking and Focus.
You will have the skills below added to you.
You do not need music skill in NL.
Here is the screen that is the permanent decision.
You get 50 in each Bard skill. You accept each individually.
You continue the quest line and head for the sewers! yay. Go to the end and slay some cultists.
Follow the quest to Despise Dungeon. (Despise has the Rat Spawn I think and the spider pet.)
You want to go down the stairs to find the music stand.
Go inside the door and you will end up at a place where some evil Luteist or something lives.
You grab an old song book autographed by Lolo and go Back to Brit and report what you saw and you get some swag and a cool outfit!
Then you go back to the bouncer dude and enter the arena. they let you read an instruction book.
You fight Evil Lolo or someone until you can beat him.
It took me 4 tries to win.
Its a long fun Quest. Return and you are gifted GM skills and some instruments.
The song use is complicated. 1 song per instrument. Lots of clicking.
Adding Bard to your template is basically cheating.
You don't even need the songs to bump your damage way up!
Go get em Stratics users!!!
