Add teleport to boats

With the introduction of UO High Seas, a lot more people can be found sailing around Britannia. This is a welcome sight for the most part, but it also brings up a bit of an issue when it comes down to boat blocking.

Boat blocking occurs when your boat is unable to sail from an area due to another boat blocking the way. With larger ships, it's very easy to do.

I bring this up because there isn't currently a good solution to this problem. It is entirely possible to get your boat stuck for weeks because somebody has left their boat blocking a pass (HUGE problem in the Sea Market before the channels were added).

Emptying your boat and drydocking is often not a solution because fishing crates cannot be removed and destroying them leads to a loss in reputation.

I propose that some kind of short range teleport system be introduced to boats. A few rules:

- A boat cannot teleport if under combat. This is to prevent people from fleeing in PVP ship fights.
- A boat can only teleport once every 10-15 minutes.

Once used, a boat can either teleport to a random free area, or perhaps have the user select where to go to avoid getting your ship stuck in an even worse spot.

Pretty much the idea is to teleport your ship so that you can sail off from the area you are stuck. This is not to be used to escape ship battles or to teleport around the map to speed up the delivery time for fishmonger quests.

Just teleport yourself to the fishmonger :)

As long as you are within the server range of your intended city the fishmonger will accept your quest. It was the best solution provided months ago when the problem first presented itself.

It's still the best solution imo.

That's not really what I was referring to. Having your boat blocked, for instance, can prevent you from doing pirate ship and merchant ship takedowns as well as reducing the area you can fish in. You also cannot reach all the fishermonger quest locations within the same server IE: Papua.

The idea is to find a solution for boat blocking whatever the case may be. There are times when you can literally become stuck for ages when this shouldn't be happening.

I like the turn in of quests as long as your in the zone... great add in there dev.

Now I do see the OP's point. How many times have you come to your boat only to find its been booked on all 4 sides by other players toys. You cant get out.. they have you pinned in so tight the only thing you can do is call a GM for help.... only thing is it takes sooo long for a GM to show his nose up all your play time is gone or they dont even show up and your so angry you can spit nickles. Now i kinda understand the single boat limit they put on players as many were using tons of the floating storage bins were decoration citys and water ways of UO in mass. But for those of us who used them in ernist its a bit of a pain in the royal tush. You cant move your crates to another boat... so a whole day of fishing is ruined and your ready to walk away from the game. I like the general idea of a transport for trapped boats but I have a twist that might make it more Dev friendly.

Your boat is traped by other fishing vessels and cant get past them... on the boats tillerperson, in the general menu can be placed a stuck option. This gives you the owner a transport of the whole vessel to the marketplace waters inside the bouys. This is a area clear of vessles 99% of the time, once your ship enters this waters your free to sail on your merry way! I picked the Marketplace as a main tp point as it is a single area generaly free of shipping and would give any fishing vessel a clear landing zone. Dev are more likely to except a single teleport area then a random hop around any port.
