Accounts to have only 2 boats

Is it true that every account will be allowed only 2 boats? When will this happen?

I have absolutely no idea where that information is coming from. I have no knowledge of any such restriction.

I just placed 8 boats around the Skara Brae docks on TC1 without any problems or weird messages.

Wondering if the original post might refer to a "free shard."

The many times I've held public tosses it's been fine, Of course someone could call a GM, But players on Europa are generally very nice..

Nope it's just called being creative and imagination something that people have lost sight of these give me everything without thinking days.

I agree and wouldn't report that... however, trapping any spawn is against the TOS.

p.s. at least with only 1 row of boats the spawn can still get at you... but two or more rows of boats?

No reason to do that. But if they are left out just for storage make sure they get deleted after 48 hours out.

Every single character I've ever made carries a boat. But I never have more than one out at a time, and I always dry dock when I'm done. Well except for the time my boat was used as the FCB weekly fishing party boat. (thems are fun). It was left out for anyone to use .

No, its just being called breaking the EULA/TOS, I don't mind, but I find it funny in regards to the people who scream that anyone who breaks the slightest rule are big time cheaters and eat children.

Funny, I believe Old Man and Surgeries admitted to using a certain illegal site, hence being cheaters themselves. How does that saying go? Something about stones and glass houses.

Well we didn't put the boats in place to keep the spawn out but to keep them in. Technically still wrong maybe? But then again we could loot none of the critters.

Lots of fun but tons of good loot sank.

Yes i belive Gem of the FCB planned on using the buck den docks but someone had there ship parked in the way so they had to improvise. 6 ships made a circle over 1k nets were tossed including many white nets. It was a blast. It was cited as the best net toss to date (at least on GL) despite not being able to use the actual docks.

But to stay OT. I save up my scrolls, and when i have 200+ of them i have roughly 8-10 ships placed throughout the waters to go to. I love to RP fishing them but the ships simply dont have enough storage on board to do so realistically.

If they made a ship with 125 item count but say 2k or 4k stone limit then I would have no problem only having one or two ships at sea.

To the poster that mentioned sinking ships after 48 hours. Ships decay like the old houses did. You must refresh them within 4-5 days at minimum or they will sink. On top of that there are no ship zones that if you leave a boat unattended and it is found or reported it will be sunk immeadiatly (there are great mining spots only accesable by ship especially in fel, if everyone docked ships there and dropped anchor that wouldnt be fair. THey do have safeguards in place to keep the seas open for people.

The only thing i would suggest as a ship restriction is that within 10 tiles of the main server line where everyone parks there ships to macro skills (presumably with UOA) that you cannot drop anchor. This would clear up a lot of congestion in the waters of UO when passing through that area.

I think the only way I'd support a boat limitation is if the higher your fishing skill, the more boats you can have placed at a time. or something like that
