I have been out of touch for the past year or so and apparently I missed the boat on this whole account migration thing.
I received an email that one of my accounts as been closed because the card I had on file has expired. I tried to log in to update it, and I cannot seem to log into the account edit page anymore. I ended up calling customer service and got the runaround.
Keep in mind... I have my account name, my password, all my billing info, and my current email address (the one they sent the email to letting me know my card had expired). Yet the guy I spoke to told me there was nothing he could do because I don't remember the original email address I used to open the account over 12 years ago! He apologized and said EA never backed up their systems with updated info when we made changes to our account on the UO website.
I also tried to set up a "EA Master Account" and that seems to be a worthless runaround as well. I have my "Master Account" set up and opened on the EA site, and it wount let me log in on the UO site, says wrong username and password. On the EA site I try to add UO as one of my games, and it does not even have UO as an option.
I know that others have been having issues as well, but I cant seem to find a thread that has any useful info. Anybody know how I can get this company to take my money?
