Account-related question...

I'm sure this isn't in the right forum for this question, but the customer/billing support at EA is nonexistent, and maybe someone can answer this quick question.

I'm heading back to school in a few weeks. Conveniently my subscription runs out right before classes begin and I wish to take a month off (or so) to get situated. If I remove my billing information from my account, and I lose access when it tries to re-bill me, will I lose my stuff (house, etc.)? Or, do I need to go about this in a different way?

Anyone know how to get a hold of an actual person that may be able to answer this question?

Thanks

I would not advice to put your account offline for a month.

Since you'll probably have problems reactivating your account..with all these billing issues.

At least that's what happend to me...

I have no idea how to get a live person to talk to (you used to be able to but I don't think you can anymore). Anyway, if you remove your billing information from your account, it will go inactive and your house will fall. Anything you put in your bank and on your person (including in a beetle's pack if you ride one) will still be there, just not your house and everything in it.

If you want to keep your house, don't remove your billing info from the account.

Couple of thoughts....

1.) When on the phone with EA's phone system, simply say "agent" to get to a live person - possibly speaking English in a foreign accent...

2.) Do not remove your billing - simply deactivate the account on the subscription page. If you remove the billing, and then loose your password, the password retrieval system will no longer work (you removed the e-mail address it would be sent to).

Hope that helps some!
