I didnt really play the "ultima" brand years ago all that much but I did 1st learn of lord british and dupree and the others in ultima underworld 2. I have to say that was the game that got me hooked on the brand and I know it came after a few titles were alread out and in the past.

At that point I decided to check out all the ultima titles starting with ultima 1. Now this is where my story deviates from the average one you hear. As a young lad My older sister started dating this, at the time, computer geek. Now this guy, Chris was his name had a atari 400/800 with about 5000 games. As a show off to his girlfreind, my sister, he gave that computer to me. In that huge list of games was a novel one called:

Questron!

Now I cant say for sure, but that game was exactly like Ultima 1 save for a few major plot twists and a nerfing of the game play. It was Ultima one alfa. They took out robbing the churches and added in going to space and ohh... the magic powder at every level! What a game!

Yeah Chuckles has been around forever in Ultima lore. In UO, he was present along with Heckles (Blackthorn's Jester) when Lord British was slain by Rainz.
