I've been playing for almost a month now and have a tamer with 87 taming / 104 lore (and a bracelet that gives +15 taming when i need it). I have several pets that i'm working with that i'd like to train to 5 slots. I probably haven't chosen the best pets out there, but I plan to fill my stables with all sorts. These will be my first practice runs in pet training.
First, I have a bake kitsune (3 slot) that is at 95% training and finally bonded to me. I'm nearing the point where I will have to decide what to put points into. My kitsune has 100 in all skills, 90 magery, 65ish detect, and 80 resist. I've read that these skills may cause my kitsune to jump immediately to 5 slots, causing me to lose an entire round of training. Is this still true?
Second, I have a fairly fresh unicorn (2 slot) and a very fresh giant beetle (1 slot). Between all 3 pets, should I approach their points in a similar way? Is it better to specialize them? Is there a priority to the stats/resists/etc.. that I should put in?
I'm sure I haven't given enough information, but i'd like to give this as a starting point. Thank you for any help and advice!
