A Soulstone Question

Ok, on TC1 i will swap Veterinary and Peacemaking depending on if I am taming or not taming.

If I were to purchase a Legacy Token for the Soulstone, would I effectively be able to do the same thing?

How many Skills can be held in the Soulstone?

Is there a set number of swaps on the regular Soulstone?

Is there a reuse timer/delay on the regular Soulstone?

I think I have the gest of what the Soulstone is but I have ... made mistakes in choices based on obsolete information about UO items when they were introduced vs the way they are now.

I will try to answer these...if I'm incorrect, someone please post and let me know! *grins*

1. Legacy Token Soulstone is a full stone, account bound once the token is used, with unlimited uses, unlike the Fragments that have charges.
2. One skill at a time, I believe, up to 120 in intensity.
3. Infinite uses
4. I believe the cool-down timer is 24 hours. The Fragments are the same.

Also, if you stone a 120 skill, make sure that the character getting the skill off the stone has the arrow pointed up, and is scrolled to accept the amount of skill intensity held on the Soulstone.

No only on the Fragment and that is 5

Is there a reuse timer/delay on the regular Soulstone?
Once you put a skill on a stone you can not put it back on the same char for 24 hours

Soulstones and frags - clarification.

Put a skill on the item. If you then double-click the item (frag or stone) and tell it to REMOVE the skill (flush it), then a charge//timer is NOT activated. Only when you actually load the skill to a character does the charge/timer thing kick in.

For swaps I would recommend 2 stones minimum ... if the char you want to have a skill does not have the room, they can offload one skill to a stone ("A") and pull in the needed skill from the other stone ("B"). Taking the skill off "B" then sets the timer for THAT stone only. "A" timer/charge has not been activated.

Be careful when using the soulstones and make sure to use in the propper order and that the arrows are pointed properly. If not used properly you can lose all or part of a skill.

If you plan to swap several skills you need more stones. Also you might want extras if you plan to do short swaps. I swap arms lore with mining on my crafter so she has 3 stones for the times she sets up to mine and them wants to make something. Some folks have 50 stones.

Note that you can get soulstones as a first year vet reward along with buying legacy tokens or buying tokens from other players.

Here is something you can think about. Get 3-4 soulstones. That way you can use it a couple of times in a day.

i have five stones and 2 frags I use the frags for skills i rarly use the full stones for swaping I always leave atleast 1 stone empty
