A simple way to prevent patch problems

Can we please make it so you duplicate the prod shards to TC1? Or at least allow us to copy our true chars and items to the shard - I think it would be a very simple way to catch stuff like paroxysmus' swamp bug etc before it's live, wouldn't?

I was always understood it that it went to TC1 for some time, then went to Origin for a week, then gets patched to all the other shards. Apparently some bugs were missed.

Well, origin is pretty much dead, so its not a great test really.

Yeah, they used to rotate shard backups onto TC.
One patch would be Atlantic, the next maybe Pacific etc.

well we discovered the form bug on Origin and posted and PMed about it. But it rolled out anyway. Today's problems are a result of the rushed "fix" for those other issues I am thinking.

Please god, let them not revert. I've put in way too much time over the past few days what with costumes and holiday gifts and such.

The only reason they might revert would be because of the proxy mounts, nothing else would deserve a revert. There have been movable death shrouds before.

I can't really remember when things were this..volatile. I'm not upset or anything, as long as we eventually get some fixes in. But, I bet the dev team is pulling their hair out right now, and I feel their pain.

I'm sure the hue/facade hierarchy system was put in place so that we could enjoy our costumes and fix a few other things and now the community has done a 180 and I worry about backlash.

Well, you can be sure there were quite volatile times long before this. But long ago reverts were done a bit more often to fix them. In fact, if they were the same as they were a long time ago, a revert probably would have already been done.
