A question on Item Insurance .....

Ok, I get the concept of Insurance on Items and I see the 600g messages when I die.

The question is (the why is after the questions)

1) Do you actually need Gold Coins in the bank for Insurance to be used?

2) Is there a limit on the number of insured items that will actually be returned to you?

I have every equipped item insured, plus a few bag items (barding instrument etc).

Scenario's

1) I die in Cove, 4 of my insured items are on my person when I am rez'd. Fortunately the 2 jewelry and Cu Boots were 3 of the 4. I checked the bank and had 2 checks for 1,000,000 each. But no gold.

2) For the last week, when I died, the Bracelet (insured) would not be on my Rez'd body. I un insured it and then re insured it and then the Ring was not on my body. I did the uninsured and re insure and then the bracelet is not showing up.

Anyone able to clear this up for me and I would be greatly appreciative.

One last COMPLAINT OSI (EA/Mythic(?)) is ok, I pay you 600g for each insured item. Why is it that 90%+ of the time the Bracelet and Ring end up being under some blessed item, mostly one of the 2 Rune Books or Spell Book? Why do I need to go on a treasure hunt in my back pack for where you chose to hide them? For the extracted gold cant you see your way clear to putting it all in a bag and putting that bag in my back pack? OR better yet, the equipped items put on my Rez'd Body, in the correct spot. It isn't quite like the routine doesnt already exist to do this. :cursing:

I have not had that happen to me so I can't comment on that part. I know I died with only checks in the bank and all my things were on me when I rezed. What shard are you on?
As for the jewels part. I just set a dress macro and when I get rezd I hit the dress macro key and it puts all of my gear back on. If i have different sets of jewels I make a second macro with that set of jewels and hit the second dress key and everything returns back on you. That way you dont have to sit there looking for things. Its way easier than looking under every book to discover its under the last one you look under lol.

I am on Lake Austin.

Dress Macro? Is this something within the standard UO macro system or is it something inside UOA (which I do not have, but I do have a Logitech G15 Keyboard).

My bad. I was assuming you had UoA. Sorry about that. I have always used uoa so I dont know of any other way around it.

Take all your insured stuff and un-insure it and re-insure it again. Some times if you switch clothing and some one else has insured it. (even someone on your account) or if you have bought it already insured or moved shards with it insured. It causes the insurance bug. {Not all insured things coming back to you} I have had the problem and fixed it this way.

There's a Dress macro in KR, but for 2D you can only do it with UOA.

The KR Dress macro is actually one of the best features in that client, as it puts everything back on you immediately, unlike the UOA macro that does it 1 item at a time and starts choking if you don't have all the items on you.
