a guildmate and myself were talking about this the other nite. How about the possibility of paragon elementals having the percent of a chance to drop a hammer, equal to the type of elemental. Of course the drop rate could be set to be of the rare variety.

This would serve to bring more interest back to playing ilshenar and also give bod guys a better market for gargoyle pickaxe's.

It might also take care of the val hammer market a bit.... coughs.

I can see so many things wrong with this idea it's not even funny. I'll explain later after I stop my heart from jumping. Hopefully someone else would give the reasons not to do this so I won't have to write a essay on it.

I'm happier with the thinking that crafting tool rewards come from crafting, whilst imbuing components come (mainly) from creatures and resource gathering, but more variety in the way crafting works and is rewarded wouldn't go amiss...

Ummmmm, as one who has several crafters I would be against this. I would much prefer a stabilization of enhancement odds, rewards etc between the crafts than this.

Reason why not: Every shard, every facet with elementals would be camped 100% of the time from then on by folks looking for the lottery ticket (ie valorite elementals.)

Absolutely no.

I'd have to go with no on this one - hammers are already very easy to get (bronze and lower) and with imbuing on the scene, the lower ones, to me, are more desirable as is. They don't need to be any easier, or any more common.

The only rare ore you can camp is what dulls in Ilsh. Very few miners are combat miners and are of the outdated crafter mage with mining crammed in. Had to have that mage part to mark ore spots for runebooks. Outdated.

The getting a runic from a paragon rare ore. OK not like they spring from a mountain every other swing. Then 1 in 20 those are to be of a paragon type. Then there is the rare chance that paragon has a chest on them. Then compounded by the chance of their being a runic in the chest to make it rare. I've burned a few 1000 goyl picks in Ilsh. I have maybe 12 chest and two them from val rare ore.

Now just need mining tools to stacks so stocking up not a storage burden.
