A nerdling experience!

The lighting in the main room was dim (I assume for the projector) and very much on the yellow side (mood lighting?) so many of my pics just did not turn out well. But I had a great time meeting the creators of Ultima, the Dev team who are keeping it growing, EMs who keep it fresh and entertaining, and players who are keeping it alive.

Registration! This was where we were given our lanyards, raffle tickets, and swag bag.

Talia's pics of the cake and cupcakes were great so I will skip a repeat. But the real treat of lunch was Richard Garriott snagging a seat with Talia and I. This is not a flattering pic for anyone, but I have to post it anyway cuz it was so full of SQQQUUEEEE!

After lunch was a sneak peak at some future plans for UO and some Q&A.

I wish I had gotten other pics of the devs, but they were very busy folks and I didn't want to get in the way. And then I got distracted by Bennu and forgot...

After the Q&A and autographs was a break for dinner, which I spent most of getting into my costume. But before the costume contest was the wedding of Phoenix and NANOC (a real wedding cuz Garriott is ordained to do so). There are oodles of pics and vids of that tho, so I won't add to that collection here. I will just say it was fantastic. Couple more devs in this pic - Bleak, our software engineer, in the middle there. I don't have any pics of the costume contest cuz we took a video instead. But there are other pics uploaded around Stratics, and it was a lot of fun.



After the contest, folks gathered at tables for booze and chit chat. I think there was supposed to be dancing but that wasn't gonna happen lol. The bride and groom did their traditional tossing of the bouquet (I caught it haha, watch out bachelors of Siege!) and garter belt. The Siege folk was the largest group, and we put a few tables together and stole the big 20th anni balloon. This pic is blurry, but that's Lord British at the end on the right, honoring Siege with a visit!




And I had to pose with our stolen balloon.
