It was ruined and nothing she did could ever fix it. as she sat staring into the pages of the dusty old book she began to remember her past, a slight smirk came across her face as she began to recall her time she spent fighting in battles. Aulbrey was never really a soldier but she sure did pretend to be one, it wasn't her place to say otherwise. those days were behind her now, time to move on she always thought to herself. next came visions her precious lush house, aww those were the days even sharing came a little easier when she had her own tavern but even those days seemed far from reach yet again. Turning the page Aulbrey began to read about the gem of immortality. could this be a fix to her dilemma she thought to herself as she began to drift to sleep.
The following morning she began to put her plan into motion. Spending all her spare moments in the libraries trying to find a way to accomplish her desires Aulbrey started to see a way out of her slump and a way to renew her hope in life. what seemed like years Aulbrey was finally ready. she made had only a few hours left and this life would either fade from existence or she would be reborn into a new one. not wanting to just disappear without a warning she left a note at her home knowing that her drunken monk would find it. she paused a moment taking one last look around, with a deep sigh she headed to the docks its now or never she thought to herself.

As the ritual came to a close there was a massive explosion, the ship broke apart and began to be swallowed up into the sea. Aulbrey lay floating on a crate as it drifted to shore. she lay unconscious for a few hours when a fisherman found her and carried her to the healer's shop. when she finally awoke she found herself confused with only glimpses of the past year.
