WHY is it none of you put forth any effort to present something to the devs?
Because we'd get the same result of you crying about a game that has surpassed your skill level and comprehension. :sad4:

Looks good to me...if we could get even half of these changes it would be a huge advantage for Siege

The fact is, you are the last person who should say this to anyone.

Youve derailed the communities efforts on these kinds of things more than anyone in this thread.

WHY is it that you think you can say dumb **** like this to anyone when you've done exactly what you're trying to scold those in this thread for?

Grow the **** up princess.
Sort of like you're doing now?

Take your own advice please. Instead of showing support, you are here arguing.

Nice job.

I don't agree with it all, but I agree with most of it.

thanks for the afford Bruin, surely took its time to formulate and sum up as neutral as possible!
also I'm not in for all the points brought up, I'm in for some asked being addressed - but that doesn't matter here, better trying than crying!

Its a few areas in T2A that you got accelerated gains, alacrity scrolls were designed with the same type of gains. It also had blackrock elementals, which has a nasty hit area effect.

- Increased artifact drops, re-introduction of cursed artifacts, and removal of faction items – About 63%
This is a simple slight variation from the ‘Increased artifact drop and re-introduction of cursed artifact’ poll. We recognize with skills like Bushido with lightening strike and an automatic 45 HCI, artifacts are needed. By doing away with faction artifacts, you completely level the playing field between factions and non-faction players.
Way to push your own agenda. Do you think a poll with 30 total responses is really indicative of any kind of majority?
He can't please everyone so he just decided to please the one's that actually matter. Sorry you weren't included. :(

I hope EA makes a few changes to create some interest in Siege while there are still a few people who care.

WHAT i dont understand is why everyone is pancakes and moanINg about the content in this thread when everyone knows as well as i do. Nothing is going to get changed. The game would have to be ran by people that actually cared the direction the game was going.

Because when we actually had a good community back in the day some things did get changed...unlike now, where nothing gets done...

*wonders why*

Ive seen how the game has progressed.

Unbalancing, Massive publishes without much research, Completly ignoring the request of the player base, Not fixing bugs as they appear, lack of monitoring of players using ttp and or speed enhancing programs.

Dont get me wrong i will probably ride this wagon till the wheels fall off because there is no other game like it. BUt i wont cross my fingers and beg and pleade for fixes i know wont come.

Ive dont that for too long.

If yall get these changes to happen i will eat crow and maybe apologize untill then i call bull**** on ea's claim of wanting to improve.

I couldnt agree more! EA needs to finally do something and fix up siege. I missed the polls but i would have agreed with all of them. I ESPECIALLY AGREE WITH:

- Increased artifact drops and re-introduction of cursed artifacts - 75%
Siege players are in support of increasing the availability of artifacts on Siege through increased drop rates (a higher chance to receive an artifact from doom or Ilshenar Paragons) and the re-introduction of cursed artifacts. The advent of faction artifacts has allowed only faction characters easy access to very powerful gear. This has put faction characters at a huge advantage to non-faction characters who, without any real access to new artifacts or insurance to utilize the difficult to acquire doom artifacts, simply can not compete against faction characters. By increasing the drop rates of artifacts and re-introducing cursed artifacts, it would bring about a more level playing field between faction and non-faction players.

Devs start fixing up Siege! And the house rule is just ******** i dunno who came up with that, devs need to fix that too! Also why isnt siege on the shard list right away? thats just even more ********.. the only reason i made an account on EAwas to play siege.. When i first signed up i had to join a prodo shard and ask players in game how to join.. that aint right.

*Also i dont think EA realizes a lot of people who play play UO/SIEGE ONLY PLAY TO PLAY SIEGE. I wouldnt even be here if there was no Siege. I cant stand insurance shards, but Siege needs some of these changes implemented to bring it back to glory.

Not to poke in here and be a total negative nancy...

well, actually, thats exactly what is happening.

It's a bummer too, because I still occasionally get that UO itch that lasts all of a few seconds when my brain catches up and reminds me how broken / sad the game has really gotten. And this is coming from somebody who has no idea what else they have done since the addition of Ninjas, but I can take a wild guess that it was crap.

I was one of those UO purists, but I still had fun in AoS, so this isn't some Pre-AOS / Pre-Ren rant. I do think that UO circa 98 was the best era of UO, but the game was still playable.

Siege has been neglected since AoS first came around, and has only gotten worse. I applaud your efforts to grab a dev's attention and show them what you feel needs to be fixed (and what whatever community is left feels needs to be fixed) but I'm not alone in saying that its falling on deaf ears.

Back when Siege still had a pretty decent population, we did these same things. We wrote, yelled, begged, cried, etc to the devs to show SP the love it needed, or else it would die. We had SP players at UO town hall meetings, speaking directly to the devs in person (and as much as I had an in-game distaste for those people, you know who they are, they at least gave Siege some representation when we felt like it needed some).

All of our efforts were ignored. I don't know why now in 2010 those efforts would make any difference, especially when from an outsiders perspective the shard looks as dead as dead gets.

On that note, I am truly stunned EA never opened a classic server. When I quit years ago, I always said I'd come back for a classic server. I still would. (The "free" alternatives just don't cut it) Other MMO's have done this, dark age of camelot coming to mind, and have been for the most part wildly successful.

Siege Perilous is dead. I hope the devs listen and fix the things you all want fixed, but it just isn't going to happen. It's been what, 8 years since it started going downhill? No signs of stopping. From a business standpoint, I'm sure they were more inclined to help back when the subscription numbers were up. I'd really love to see where they are now.

That's the end of that rant. UO spoiled MMO's for me, I'm yet to have fun in another game like I had with UO. Shadowbane came in a close 2nd, until it of course got closed :(
