What is Siege missing? Well, lots of things but wouldn't it be nice if we had our own dedicated developer? Hell yes, it would be awesome. Unfortunately, UO is hopelessly short on developers and the situation is getting worse, not better.
Those who say we are our own biggest enemy are correct. As a community, we can't agree on the things we need, let alone prioritize them. Here is what I'd suggest:
Pick one person to be the voice of Siege. It needs to be someone who plays and understands the shard. It needs to be someone with the Shards best interest at heart. All the shard has to do is choose that person. Then, as Siege's representative, it is that person's job to listen to opinions and decide what is best for the shard. Finally, that person would present his or her results to the dev team and answer their questions.
Once that person is chosen, even if you disagree with his or her conclusions, we all need to shut the hell up and support the recommendations 100%. If Siege can't choose someone, if Siege can't support the recommendations of their chosen representative, then Siege sure as heck can't get enough agreement on the myriad of issues facing us to do anything.
