A date with death

Dramora

Journeyman

Stratics Legend
How long did it take for someone to die of thirst?

Six steps one way, six steps back the other way.

Dramora knew she should conserve her energy, but her frustration and anger got the better of her. She had pushed and rattled every bar in her cage to no avail. There was no way out.

She should have known Damien would do something when she saw him in Skara during the archery contest.

Dramora hated Damien from almost the first moment she met him, a very long time ago. He was with Kaitlyn D'Amavir back then. Kaitlyn herself was not one to be trusted, in fact, she seemed more bent on causing chaos than a lot of the D'Amavirs.

Damien seemed to follow right along in her footsteps, causing as much trouble for her and her Guardians as possible. He would constantly attack them whenever he caught one of them alone. Back then she made sure her Guardians never went anyplace alone.

Her Guardians were long gone now, and Dramora was alone.

She had no idea how long she had been here.

She had seen Damien only twice. The first right after she had woken up. He seemed only to want to gloat, and didn’t stay long after threatening to give her to Penrose.

The only other time, he had told her he would let her go if she promised to do a task for him. When she asked what that task was, he had replied, “Kill an elf.”

She was no murderer, and told him that. She refused his task.

He simply shrugged, and before he walked out, turned and said, “Then you will die here.”

She had seen no one since then, had gotten no water or food. It did seem he would let her die in here.

She was not afraid to die. But dying this way would never have been her choice. She would prefer an honorable death protecting someone.

The only way out of this she could see was to give Damien what he wanted. But perhaps she could change the rules a bit in her favor. Provided, of course, he showed up before she died!

Six steps one way, six steps back the other way. She never made it back the other way before she collapsed.
