A Celebration of Siege's 10th Anniversary

This Thursday, July 30th* will be the 10th anniversary of the birth of the Siege Perilous shard. In its honor, we will be holding a Story Night at the Golden Unicorn Tavern, located in Wispwood Shire. Let us all join together, for friendship, ales, recall memories of what this land was like many moons ago and tell stories of our favorite times on Siege.

Story Night will be held this Thursday, July 30th (tomorrow) at 10pm EST.

Story Night is open to all who wish to partake in its activities, friend or foe, new to this land or old.

I always admired your shard's community strength. Along with Europa and Oceania, probably 3 of the coolest shards in UO (imo) - must have something to do with serving a niche.

A Siege Tale: A Toast to the White by Aeric Horn

Tell me friends do ye recall, when The White would send out the battle call, and stalwart figures would rally 'round ?

Stout steeds gave forth their wintery breath, and The White he would say;
" Do NOT fear death ! " And we'd all fall behind him without a sound.

To the battle we would at last would come, to aid friends and to see Justice done. The White led onward win or loose. At battles end we would all raise an ale, dance a jig, tell a tale, so many sleeping hours we did lose.

And now and again the feinds we would fight, but now we go without The White. Yet the spirit of he and others like him live on. I raise an ale with friends remaining tonite, and make a toast onto The White !

May we remember friends who've come and whom are now gone.

A Hatchet's Tale *Siege Perilous*

This hatchet displayed alongside these writings is a CRAFTERS' tool. A crafter's hatchet that was used to save the guildstone of The Knights Of The Silver Serpent, from lootings and becoming lost for forever, when the Temple Of Mithras was so imperilled and in danger of collasping.

Let this mere hatchet crafted by crafter Squire Miranda serve as a reminder. We must be ever mindful of our brothers and sisters, lest disaster slowly creep through the spirit world, into our land, our homes and into our sacred places or temples.

We must remember that no Knight should ever feel that they must stand alone against any foe in this world. We must be ever watchful or darkness may strike at us from any quarter, and seldom announces it's intent before an attack.

Rejoice now, gaze upon this simple hatchet, that helped save a Temple, a guild stone, tis a mere crafters' tool. There are many ways to FIGHT upon Siege even for one that can not fight...yet will stand strong defending, & dying to help protect that which belongs to Truth, Honor and Justice.
