UO Stratics *New* | Honesty
A few hours ago I updated UO Guide with a basic premise:
Honesty - UOGuide, the Ultima Online encyclopedia
Virtues - UOGuide, the Ultima Online encyclopedia
Then between us we have updated the two premier resources for UO playguide information, and as usual they complement each other very well. 
do we know how often these items spawn because I just ran the entire coastline of northern Yew (from the Abbey to the waterfall) and not one item!!?
Please for the sake of our sanity (well mine at least *laughs*), put out more items or have them re-spawn more often!!!

Yes, other people have been posting information, which is what gave me a head start on the virtue when it went live. All I did was collect it together into a simpler form, and add that which I'd noticed myself.
And also yes, apparently the target NPCs are flagged as Nobles too, in Trinsic at least. I've had 2 deliveries there now which went to nobles, but it's always been Peasants elsewhere; but this could just be random luck as I'm still only on the first bulb of Level 1 Honesty (7 items delivered)

No you are correct they can be peasants or nobles!
One again epic developer FAIL.It took you 11 items per dot for the first path?!
I'm earning a dot every 4th item I return (all to the correct NPC), and I have six dots so far.
Once people slow down their clean-up routine and start looking for these items en masse, they are going to become super scarce (as if they weren't already). On a populated shard like GL, I seriously doubt the current spawn rate is sustainable
I spent 30 min running all over and didn't find a single item. 30 min work for no gain at all is NOT fun. It is NOT fun. I repeat devs it is NOT fun.
You should be able to go from zero to full knight in 8 hours total or less.
That means finding an item every 4-5 min.
This 'game' is turning into more of a 'job' than a game. Great for those of you with no job and unlimited time - but I don't want to spend my 1hr a day of playing running around and finding nothing. Its just stupid. I could take a nap and be more productive.

Then after I was exhausted on not advancing (even tho I had no real goal, I wanted to try out the mini game) some guy walks in looking like a noob killing cats and dogs in tokuno.
Of course as any good roleplayer I intervened and questioned the mad-man.
He said he needed to train his forensics evaluation...
Well I tell him of course : Well how is this going to help if you killed the corpse yourself ? I have 0 forensics evaluation and I can tell you who killed this poor lady's pet right now.
After a long pause he told me "well I dunno, it works"
side-stepping any philosophical discussion he then resumed his carnage...
Then he turned back and tought he needed to be honest with me so he proceeded to explaining how he had found an item that belonged to someone else and thats why he needed to train on corpses he killed himself and thats also why the people who lose the objects only do it because you can farm them.
He then handed me the object, a ring of course... I accept the trade.
I then tell him that I think there is nothing honest about that...
*magic isn't it ?*
He said well can you give me back the ring please ?
*I did*
and then after an akward silence said : "Well met good sire, do you think that makes me a honest person? Fare thee well."
He then proceeded to thank me 3 times for my good will...

I dont understand ..are you saying you finished the Seeker level by turning in 4 items??? I have turned in many more than 4 items and only have 8 Seeker dots.

It took me more since I'm a lazy person and didn't have forensics high enough, half the time I just threw the item in the box lol.

If i understand how the system is set up, the item and npc spawn at the same time. They both stick around until quest is done. The items spawning in the ocean get relocated to shore. So...once the easy ones are found you need to look in the less traveled spots. I have found 3 items in the same spot before. They need to put a time limit so they have a chance to spawn easy spots again.
So I got to Knight of Honesty today...six lost items over it to be exact. Yay.
So now I guess I can't ever buy things from NPCs again

I tried to find one in Yew but didn't have the patience, haha...such a large area to look
The recipients in Yew are either immediatly north of the 'downtown' area or south down to the edge of town. I run a serpentine path with the EC zoomed all the way out to find them... Britain is more annoying than Yew, with Trinsic a close second.

Nope, you can have one character find the item, a second character Eval the item, and a Third return it... the character trhat hands the item into the box or NPC gets the Honesty.

And the three hours is real time, after which the "lost" tag disappears from the item but the item doesn't disappear. Pretty flexible system.

People with "sufficient" forensics, what ever that is decided that is, should be able to examine lost and found boxes to obtain items to return, with a daily max similar to compassion. Initially finding items was quick enough to get my interest, but now its gone to hours of searching for nothing or little, then hours of searching for the right person - but I did learn Yew is huge.
I think Yew can be the worst one to find NPCs with Brit a close second. IF I am having a good day finding lost items I just give those cities 1 or 2 passes then drop the item in the box. I am lucky I have guild mates who help me find lost items so I spent more time looking for the NPCs than looking for lost items.
Yew is the worst. I have noticed that once I start doing it I seem to get a better find yet on the items. I am not sure if this is pure coincidence or if they tend to spawn in clusters I was wondering if anyone else noticed this?
Yea there is definitely "hot" spots. Most of the hot spots fit the following conditions:
Within 1 screen of a guard zone.
On or within 1 screen of the shore.
The best spot I farm is East/North East of New Magincia gate trammel on the shore. I have found at least 1-3 items per day there since Honesty started. The next best spot I hit is a shore line east of Bucs moongate. Moonglow, Jehlom(the farms), Skara are all good places to run the shore line at.

My new favorite spot for Lost Items is Nujel'm: yesterday I collected 17 lost items with only two full circle tours of the island's coastline (one on Trammel and one on Felucca)
I also had good runs on the shorelines of Ocllo, Moonglow and Buccaneer's Den.
