Didn't watch any of it myself,
cuz I am more of a Grammy watcher
than Oscar. So who/what won ?
Besides, I was waiting for some Sunday rain,
to quit raining on the Daytona 500.
Finally saw part of that, Monday,
but that spectacular fire, delayed the race, even more.
*fell asleep* waiting for the track to be deflamed & repaired.

unbelievable that harry potter didnt win the make up award.
award went to iron lady which didnt look like they used much makeup at all?!?
they showed Meryl Streep talking about it and showed her in the movie and she looked almost the same??
how could that compare to harry potter with all the goblins, vortamort, beatrix etc etc??

I looked it up as I hadn't seen the movie, but it looks to me like all that you describe is done in CG for the harry potter movie, not makeup, so it wouldn't qualify for that award based on any of those characters.
Honestly I couldn't care less who won, I don't really watch many movies or tv at all, but was curious to look when you posted that.

One of the news peeps was sayin something
before the awards show even,
that Harry Potter hasn't won a lot of things,
it all should've won over the years.
Yet it still had made/gotten tons, of people's rl gp.

I'd like to thank, my mother, my father, my grandpa, my grandma,
my producer, my writer, my first grade drama teacher, my spouse,
my ex spouses, my neighbors, my old gf. and bf, my dog, my cat,
my pet parrot for helping me learn my lines,
I'd lke to thank my voice coach,
I'd like to thank my designer of my stupid pricey looking outfit, that I am wearing before everyone tonite,
I would also like to rethank my mom for teaching me to walk and chew gum at the same time so I could prance down this red carpet without trippin over my feet in front of the world...
I'd also like to thank my hair stylist, make up artist, lipo sucktionist, for making me look 40 when I am really 60 and showing my age under camera lights,
oh yes and I would like to thank the lighting crew for helping to not show the lines on my face,
and I must thank my director for helping me not fall off the mark, when I read my lines,
I'd like to thank, my elementary school teachers for teachin me to READ, so I could read my lines, in the first place,
I'd like to thank my fans for groveling at my feet as if I am a goddess or god,
Oh yes and I would like to thank God, and Budda, and everyone else whom has made my getting this award, possible.
Thank you one and all for without ALL of you,
I would be an utter failure in life,
my fat abeit insecure ego needs reaffirmations like winning awards,
or I have no self ego at all, and I wouldn't be up here accepting any awards, at all, if not for all of you building me up.

Do not get me started on what bull**** the oscars are. It is an insiders hippy liberal bunch of crap. I am not saying every block buster movie is pure art... But some "they" consider art are just unwatchable.
Well they just don't make *classic* old movies, like they used to do.
Some of my favorite movies, sit in them piles of ancient films,
many of em made even before I was born, lol
that are more like once in a lifetime type of "epic" films made.
I do not watch em often either cuz well if ya seen em once,
ya know the endings, but about every 4 + yrs or so,
they toss em back on tv and I may then watch em again,
if I have 4 hrs to kill.
Just watched THE classic, Gone With The Wind' recently.
Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn !!
Since it is getting close to Easter, I probably will catch
one of my other oldies fav. classic long epic, but excellant film:
Yul Brenner is Ramses Pharoah, and Charleton Heston, is Moses.
To me that is a CLASSIC, excellantly done film !
When ya think how old those couple of films are,
or the special effects back then of the
*parting of the Red Sea* was epic, old Cecil B. Demil *spelling* films,
or Gone with the Wind, kinda films,
Sillywood, um Hollywood, doth not have the IQ, & can't probably even afford to make, nowadays. Instead they made us, lots of rehash/remakes too, of other old films, recently, like Dirty Dancing 2.
The orig. was fine the way it was, if one was even into it, the first go round !
Caught a newer old film, rerunning on tv recently, only watched it cuz
I like most of Sydney's films, and I kept waiting for
THE most remembered line in that film...
THEY CALL ME, MR. TIBBS !
Hubby and I will usually always watch that old John Wayne film,
McLintock cuz he is my John Wayne and I am his feisty Maureen O'Hara.
Even the kids say, them 2 roles in the movie are yu two, mom and dad. lol
Course hubby watches EVERY John Wayne & Clint Eastwood,
wars and westerns movies, perma like, for forever !
Go ahead ... make my day !!
meh, they just do not make movies, nor tv programs, like they used to do !
Instead of something like Wagon Train, or Gunsmoke, we get stupid low IQ braindead reality tv shows like Bridezillas, or
Real Housewives of perma pmsing who gives a flip, on tv nowadays ! YUK !
