Hello fellow players,
I'd like to thank you all again for a very nice event and a great evening of fun! Thanks to the defenders for showing up and for their bravery! And thanks to our red fiends for their fairplay, good tactics and for coming once again.
I won't babble for long and make you wait... here we go for the full report!
NOTE: I lack some screenshots of the main battle... if you have some, please send them to me! You can get in touch with me through my profile.
------------------------------
As always the evening started very quietly. I was rather anxious in the beginning because we had more brigands gathered at the Vesper bridge than defenders... The trip was full of promises!
We waited a bit before the depart of the Caravan for the people to gather and get ready for the action. The time had come to go on the dangerous trip, but I was still hesitating to get on the road... so few of us!
I waited a bit more, but to no avail... here were all the defenders for the trip!
Just as I was done with a very short introductory speech, arrived some late comers. Better late than never!
We thus departed on the road to Cove. Which promised to be full of "surprises". Strangely enough, I was escorted by a brigand...
It didn't got better as I we were reaching the town limits...
And here we arrive where the heat shall start and last for a good amount of time!
We just arrived out of town, and were ambushed on some magical barrier (server line) and a fierce battle started. Arrows and spells were filling the air and steel was sparkling everywhere. Soon enough there were more deads than livings and the tide of the battle was pretty clear... despite our superior number, the ambush was well planned and we had a hard time coming through.
Some members of the Caravan could make it through, but the majority was pushed back to the town outskirts. I stealthed my way back to town and tried to gather people to run through the enemies and try to overwhelm them by our number.
It took some time but we finally made it. The rest of the road was pretty much like our other trips, many skirmishes, running back and forth to defend the caravan, ressurecting the deads and trying to stay alive in a tornado of steel and magic.
(Well... I was so much in the heat of the battle, desperatly hitting my smoke bombs that I kind of forgot to take screenshots... my bad!... if you feel the heart of a reporter, you're welcome to come along next time and take some!)
We finally arrived at the road bend where we had to turn for Cove.
The caravan was really spread all over and I waited a moment on the road to direct people in the right direction. We finally made it to the town of Cove and gathered for the final word.
Despite the terrible beginning and the incredible slaughter, we could keep 5 out of the 8 swords that left the town of Vesper. Which isn't all that bad.
I hope we'll be able to do better next time!
Thanks to everyone who showed up and made this another fun and enjoyable event!
