I was fixing up a new suit for my T hunter which is elfin by nature.... and after I put the suit on he is at only like 40 physical resist... though the suit is made for 70 physical resist..

I took all his stuff off and he stands naked at -30 physical... is this correct?

Do you have magic reflection cast on you or one of the other toggle spells which might lower physical resist? Open up the effects bar and see if there are any enchantments you are under.

You have protection cast (-15 physical) and likely magic reflect (-15).

Recast those spells.

Once again - there are three spells that can affect your armor and all can be active at once.

Protection
Magic Reflect
Reactive Armor

Yes I did have protection on... but even with it off I still show -15 and no other spells show up in the status bar??

Are you already -15 when you are an elf?

I don't know what causes this either. I had a new character I created end up with -15 physical and +15 in all other resists. This came in pretty handy for about 3 years, then suddenly all resists returned to 0. The altered resists were permanent for three years or so. The GM's are so busy that I didn't want to bother them.
