2014 Wish List for Clean Up Britannia additions (Turn-in items and rewards)

As stated in the recent State of UO Address we will be making additions to the Clean Up Britannia system in an upcoming publish. We are looking for suggestions as to items that you would like to see added to the turn-in system. These suggestions can either be turn-in items or even reward ideas.

The Dev team will be making the decision as to whether these suggestions make the final list or not, how many reward points they may be worth or in the case of rewards how many reward points they will cost.

I will get the list started with some turn-in ideas that we have based on some of our recent game additions:

1. Exodus encounter rewards (replica bracers, replica amulet, replica staves, clockwork leggings, Dupre’s sword and replica scroll of valiant commendation)
2. Ararat quest items (golden fishing pole, golden tinker’s tools, note from Cousteau, Ararat anchor, Ararat bell, Ararat figurehead, Equivocation, Craven, Abhorrence, Pincer and Captain Johne’s Blade)
3. Equipment bearing the crest of Minax
4. 2013 Halloween items (heads on a spike, carving kits, carvable pumpkins and carved pumpkins)
5. 2013 Thanksgiving item (pig on a spit deed)
6. 2013 Holiday Gifts (2013 gift box, lobster dinner, holiday candle, claw foot tub deed and alacrity scroll book)
7. 16th Anniversary gifts (pony statuette, card, platter, plant deed, dieffenbachia, Japanese maple, staghorn fern deed, Venus flytrap deed and gift bag)
8. 2014 Valentine’s Day gifts (puppies and kittens)
9. 2014 Easter gifts (Easter bunny, Easter basket, marshmallow ducklings and chocolate jelly beans)

We also plan to add the Vollem Held in Crystal to the reward list, however the cost has not yet been determined.

BUT... please, just don't add stuff again that noone will use anyway in one house (or even two) - I'm talking here of all the 2013 Holiday Gifts,16th Anniversary gifts,2014 Valentine’s Day gifts and 2014 Easter gifts. There is still a lot of that stuff around, so nobody will choose those anyway.

Instead please choose useful stuff like: Mailboxes, the UO banner, maybe also Town banners (without having loyalty for it), the Bless Deed again, or old Holiday gifts like Icy Patches (the rare or completely new form), old Topiaries,Golden Easter Goose and Eggs (Easter is near!), Minor Tokuno Artifacts (there is always someone out there, needing to finish that 10 items turn-in) etc.

Or new items like: new wall tapestries (new designs), plucked chicken (renamed), corn stalk (like the one from cornucopia, renamed), new clothing like a Monk's Robe (with other colors and names, no properties, just for looks), AoS named/looking gifts/stuff with your character name (could use up a lot of points) etc.

Extremly nice would be: Nexus Deed, Lord Blackthorns Throne (like the original ones, but with another name of course), new big spider web deeds, new colors, new potted trees, new tubs, new animated housing tiles (what kind of... ? There are endless possibilities), and maybe Cristallized Essence (yes, the original Harbinger crystals, so we can have fun for years to come... ) etc.

Tapestrys found in Heartwood.
Water tiles that have rounded edges. Garden tiles like the npcs have in fields.

Decorative cakes similar to the rare ones but not the same nor named the same. One with candles please.

Animal statues, pigs, hens, goats, deer, white colored ducks for ponds, not luna white, normal duck white. All animals should be normal colors.

I will be back with more ideas

Turn in stuff, the anniversary things, candles, blue books. trays. Rabbits, ducks.

Adding the more recent holiday items as turn-ins would be great. I really don't need a couple dozen bathtubs!

As for rewards, I have long coveted these flowered vines found on the fence in Bedlam:

There's a pink one and a purple one. I like the pink one better (the blooms are more prominent) but either would be a nice deco addition. New potted plants (ideally in the nice terra cotta containers like the classic potted plants) would also be quite welcome!

I'd like to see the bone containers from the Halloween events REMOVED from the turn in list. It makes setting up a place for people to find their bones pointless when someone greedy can just come in and snap them all up for the points.

A dungeon moongate..crackled broken moongate graphic ID..

Same as a dungeon teleporters except u walk into it like a moongate and the gump appears with a "Special Tab" and you can drop area maps into them u loot off MOBs..like a 5 piece Medusa map..once completed by a cartographer you drop the map into the moongate and get a new destination named Medusa.. That when used brings you directly to the Medusa alter..

First off, significantly increase the turn in value of some items. Enough has been removed from the system already that the point values for some items is far below their market value:

• Rubble - almost anything left is worth well more than 5k points

• A Decorative Topiary
• A Holiday Bell
• A Holiday Timepiece

• An Icy Patch
• Glacial Snow
• Holiday Garland
• Pointsettia
• Snow Globes
• Crystallized Essence

A new source for display cases and mannequins would also be much appreciated. Actually, all of the 12th, 13th, and 14th, etc gift items - virtue tapestry, codex of virtue, the ultima banner, white leather dye tub, the planters, even a heritage token or soulstone fragment. I also like the idea of adding crystalline essences; they're great for events, but becoming too few and far between to get enough or to make using them affordable.

Other new rewards:
* Holiday garlands
* A tool to let me rotate rubbles
* New seed types

• The reversed morning glories - not the rubble one; the one that was used for the "My Feet Got Tangled..." Mesanna item
• Mushrooms...
• "white flowers" (aka reversed lillies)
• Walnut tree
• Cedar tree (2 types)
• Oak tree
• "Tree" (bends slightly to the right, visible west of the brit gate)
• "Tree" (tilts slightly to the left, visible south-west of the brit gate)
  
• Yew tree
• Weeds
• Umbra trees
• etc...

* Cave floor tiles
* Wooden stair pieces and matching blocks
* Boulder pieces - not all of them currently spawn...
* "Grassy/dirt hill tiles" like around moongates and just south of the WBB
* An "organizer" box - some sort of a backpack/box with a 4x4 grid; drop an item on the bag and it automatically sorts to be with others of the same type / the next empty space / gets rejected because there are no free spaces for new types of things
* A super-powered house deco tool that allows you to shift things left/right/back/forward, as well as turn/up/down

I'd say no to adding town banners; the current system for getting them makes sense.

To add to the turn-in list:
* 12th, 13th, 14th tickets, evil tokens, etc - basically, every single gift ticket/token, and make them actually worth REAL points - 25k/50k/100k, not 100, 500, or even 5000. Get these finally cleaned up and out of the system. Move all the gifts/etc to the clean up system instead.
* Mininova wands (and all other types of fireworks wands not yet included)

And to remove:
* bone containers
* Boura Tail Shield (never have understood why specifically these and no others were included)

Last, let us swap dyes at the clean up NPCs. If I have 3 uses of green/black left, let me turn that in for a 3 use liquid gold, for example. There's getting to be too many colors to be manageable otherwise. And please, let dyes be combinable; I'd much rather than 17 uses on one dye than a pile of the same dye each w/various uses remaining.

PS: Can lava of all types *please* be changed to allow it to be dyed? The white lava falls just look nothing like lava/water/poison, without being dyed red or blue or green.

It's a revenue generator. Do you realize if it weren't for these Origin store items that prices for the monthly fee and expansions would have to go up for everyone? I want the benefit of the forged tool and spend another $10 all too often, but others may not. If EA loses that revenue, it will have to be divided up among everything else.

It's most fair when prices are on a per-item basis. That way those who don't want forged tools, dyes, etc., don't have to pay extra in monthly fees and/or expansion prices.

Now with even more items being added, I can only suggest one thing:

Please add at least SOME usability! Currently this is a joke. You have to flip through pages, 5 per item, if you select something, you have to start all over again.

First, increase the gump size. Just like the vendor search gump.
Second, don't display them in a flat list. Group them in categories. I.e. dyes, furniture, wearables, armor sets, etc. Just like in the vendor search gump.

The vendor search gump isn't perfect, but compared to other UI quite good. Nevertheless, the reward selection UI is abysmal.

I would love to see some crazy new dye colors.

Although i doubt they'll do it, but if Blaze Orange and Glacial Blue were added I would throw so many items away to get them that the lightened load on the servers would be stunning.

Some sort of container for swords so they are not spread all over your backpack – a sword comes out of the container when you equip it and goes back into the container when you switch weapons – the container could even be like a quiver you equip in its own slot instead of just a box in your backpack

The same sort of container for sets of armor, so when you switch suits the pieces don’t scatter all over your back pack – this could also be an extra pouch you wear in its own slot instead of a box in the backpack, as long as it doesn’t take away from other slots

For nostalgic purposes either re-release the original rewards, or I'd like to see a twist inspired on the original clean up britannia 1999 rewards. Here are some examples:

Original Gifts Given Out ----> Newly Inspired Twist

Neon Hair Dye ------> Neon Skin Colors (Differs depending on race)
Neon Beard Dye ----> Neon Tattoos (similar to the old savage dye, but different colored, and or patterns)
Beard Growth & Sculpting Cream ----> Grow Horns, Wings, and/or Tail
Hair Restyle Coupon ---> A Cursed scroll that makes your character appear permanently like any humanoid of choice your orc, ratman, troll, or goblin in appearance without aid of ring, fishing pole, sandals, or spell (does not change your appearance in your paper doll)
Furniture Dye Tub -----> Black, White, Metallic Color Furniture Dye Tub or Stone/Marble Dye Tub
Monster Statuettes ------> Your choice of any monster statue currently available in game, perhaps some no longer obtainable, and can be dyed with veteran reward dye tub
Phoenix Armor -------> Now available in any armor type except the original ringmail, gorget and helm piece, but add a shield, leather, studded, plate mail, dragon scale, leaf, woodland, gargoyle so on and so forth in the same original color, and now can be imbued.
Phoenix Armor -------> Permanently bonded phoenix as a pet
Singing Ball ----------> Create an entirely new graphic loaded with an entirely new song, but not the japanese versions.

Wild Card
Ranger Armor -------> A 5 piece, helm free all 70s studded armor set which includes 3 of any +10 ranger skills such as animal lore, animal taming, veterinary, tracking, hiding, stealth archery, tactics, or resist spells.

I strongly disagree with any player who would wish for rewards to be made in the image, likeness or use the same exact graphic of any server birth that has not already been remade.

Another few ideas for rewards:
* The top half of the small white bed, since only the bottom half spawned as rubble.
* The missing halves of the vat; of the spawning parts, half is a water vat from Buc's Den, half is a grape vat from Yew.
* Special *breeding* seeds, using more of the existing plant graphics, for another expansion of gardening (maybe the tree seeds could come from a special axe that has a chance to also harvest seeds from matching tree types?):

Rewards or Items I would like to see....
Pet collars- to be able to quickly identify your pet from others.
-couple ideas for the collars-could be crafted, dyeable, could decorate them, have simple rope collars or extravagant gem encrusted, or even have a collar engraving tool. Imbueable? Could craft with leather or gems or special ingredients...Would love to see a huge gleaming and sparkling gem hanging off of my dragons neck, or a heart shaped locket on a golden collar for my cu. I could quickly see that my cu is standing ground next to me and that the cu that was running off into trouble belonged to somebody else.

Other reward or item, would be some sort of fishing bag, or container for dungeon fish, or simply adjust the weight on dungeon fish.
-something that allows you to carry more fish while dungeon fishing. I often like to fish in the lab. or twisted wield, by time I travel all the way there I fish for a couple minutes and I'm heavy. Can't recall in or out, don't want to lose all the fish I just caught, so I spend all my time walking back and forth with about 30 fish or 15 fish and a 150 pounder. Bag of sending is not the greatest answer, because there are so many different varieties of fish, catch 3 or 4 of each and you are way past heavy, and don't want to lose all your charges to send 4 fish to the bank. (Shallow or deep water usually don't pose too big of a problem, they are easy places to get to, and you can usually do a quick recall in or out.)

I think Armor for my Greater Dragon that is dyable would be the bomb. It could be rewarded as a recipe scroll so your crafter could make
regular or a slight chance of an exeptional one just like the dragon barding deeds for the swampys. I can imagine my dragon right now in some sorta cool lookin spiked armor that would lend him some extra protection in a fight when overwhelmed by dungeon spawn.

Collars, dragon armor, spurs for battle chickens, saddles, something to be able to distinguish our pets. If we can armor them, enhance them and craft items that just makes it all the better!!! A variety in being able to dye the armor, collars etc. would be a must have!!!

Whether as a new Reward from Clean UP Britannia or as a new Veteran Reward the game NEEDS, is CRYING FOR, CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT a container for Refinements Ingredients.

They are too many and one needs to keep collecting and collecting them before one finally has the ones needed for that given suit. They become hundreds upon hundreds and clog way too much of space.

We need a container like those for seeds, or like the Davies' Locker Table, whatever, the thing that matters is that we get it and it counts as 1.............

And we need it yesterday !!!

Agreed, it still makes for a bunch of those, but a full set is only what, [4 levels below Invul] * [2 refinement types] * [12 armor types] = 96 amalgamators. Not a small number, but even sorted into 12 bags per type, it still all fits in one chest with room to also hold the Invulnerable ones...

Which stealables can't be turned in? Maybe I am missing some. The only thing I turn in now are stealables, and have +4 million points from those.
