2 Slots rideable tame : which is the most effective for fighting ?

Assuming a good stats one, which would be a 2 slots rideable real good fighter ?

A nightmare ? A fire steed ? Something else?

Nightmare is above and beyond any other ridable 2 slotter.

Fire Steed HP 240 DMG 34 - 86
Nightmare HP 315 DMG 16 - 22
Kirin HP 210 DMG 35 - 45
Unicorn HP 210 DMG 35 - 45

I think that pretty much covers it?

Now you have to SERIOUSLY think about play style AND what you are fighing.

Each one can work really well in certain circumstances.

The fire steeds in a pair can do very well but???? VERY target specific.

Rem TARGET SPECIFIC and what you are paring them with.

SOLO I would still go with a Nightmare.

I mean, the nightmare is the one with the least damage done of all of them......

Those damage ranges are misleading. All of them except the nightmare's are with modifiers, the nightmare's numbers shown there are base damage. The nightmare actually has the highest melee damage range of any of the two slot pets due to it's exceptionally high strength, other than maybe the fire steed if you have two of them.

i took two fire steeds to medusa, did better overall damage than a gdrag. disco + corpse skin = medusa with 29 fire resist

The plucky little kirin could do with some love, great pets in certain situations but too squishy compared to a Nightmare.

I preferred the older graphics though when they looked like brown Nightmares *sigh*
