2. is there a casting focus cap?

so 100 inscribe gives you %5 casting focus?

does that stack with items? say you have 3% on an item (or whatever).. is it 8 with scribe, or does scribe just allow you to get to 17?

It's a little unclear.. but it appears to me that it both gives you 5% CF, as well as raises the cap to 16 if you have scribe.

Apparently, you and I have very different definitions of clear. I think the question was in addition to to raising the cap to 17%.. Do you also get an additional 5% as a bonus free?

If you are wearing an item with 3% Casting Focus and also have GM Inscription, your character will have a totla of 8% Casting Focus.

I fail to see what makes the description unclear.

The Item cap for Casting focus is 12%.

Wether the existing ingame items make the item cap achievable or not (for any race), is a totally different matter. I do not know if it is or isn't.

GM Inscription gives 5% Casting Focus.

The most Casting Focus you can ever get is 17% (12+5=17).

I believe for a human player it is 8.. the tunic + scribe

The circlet head piece has some on it also though I cannot recall how much. There is a shield one can get for a human that has a similar property that I do know works.
