2 property gives 442 weight?

found repeating crossbow with 2 property
(cannot be repaird)
(brittle)
hci 35%
di 70%

in the imbue menu it says it has 2 property and 442 weight?

careful inspection shows
di = 2 points per (140 weight)
hci as 303 weight or 5-6 points per
is that right?

The max to imbue on a weapon for HCI is 15. The weight would be 130 for each 15 HCI. That's 260 for 30 HCI. 5 is one third of 15 and one third of 130 is 43 (removing decimal). 260 + 43 = 303 weight for 35 HCI. Sounds right to me.

yes, that is correct.
35% HCI has a weight of 302 (15% is 130)
and DI of 70% is 140

so 442 is absolutely correct...

Only because HCI can be imbued higher on ranged weapons doen not mean the weight is different than for other things (jewels or other weaps).

I was also baffled at first when I found this out.
But it makes sense.

Take a fresh bow, check the imbuing gump, if you want to put on 25 HCI it will tell you that the intensity is 130%. If you imbue it the weight is actually 215 (and 302 for 35% -numbers are rounded here).

If u imbue 25 hci on a ranged weapon it is 130 intensity, 25dci is 110. Test it if u don't think so

Cetric, you are correct, just tried it.

But this means that there is a bug here really (as the OP has thought).

What we calculted before actually explains how the system handles the weight atm, but if you can imbue 25 HCI at a cost of 130 intensity, this means that ranged weapons HCI/DCI shoul be weighted differently than "normal" HCI.

Or could this maybe be on purpose? So if you you imbue intensity is low, if you find on loot, it is high?

Someone should bring this to the devs attention...

imbuing has been messed up since the day it was created.

small things like you should be able to say put 57 HML on an item with 20 ssi according to the formula but the system only allows you 55.. witch ends up at like 96%.

other things like the max values is wrong.. like if you put say 3 items at max value of 130s the item will be over weight for some reason even tho they all should fit.

its has been stated and bug reported many many times.

I would like to see a pic of the repeater posted, to be sure there is no durability or lower requirements or something like that.

youve always been able to go higher with bow and throwing weapons with HCI and DCI.

i just always assumed that was cause you could only arm one thing in your hands with a bow.

where as with melee you could arm a weapon and a shield and they both could have HCI and DCI.

I don´t have a picture but can testify that I have tried to imbue 2 different bows with the same combination (it drops rather often in shame) and found the same. No other mods present.

ok so up in the corner it says 1.3 and 5% so 5% is what is used for the weight.
errr i mean it is 5 x 1.3 per point added right?

youre looking at it wrong, 1.3x means it has 130 weight at 100%.
which on a bow is 25 i think
the 5% is what the system thinks is currently on it. which btw IS the bug as that item has 35% HCI so it is currently 10 over cap.. and the imbuing menu has no idea what to do .. more then likely if you try to imbue hci on that item it will remove 30% and ignore what ever number you put it at.. just like SSI and EP are doing.

The bug is that it isn't taking a ranged weapon HCI maximum into account. The calculation is taking maximum of 15 in the calculation instead of 25, which was said further up in the thread. This is probably an unintended bonus to unraveling.

Should be
70x1x100/50=140
35x1.3x100/25=182
total 322

showing
70x1x100/50=140
35x1.3x100/15=303
total 443

To the original question. Yes the weight should be 5.2 per, but it is using 8.67 per instead. The weight mistake appears to be carried with the weapon and if you imbued HCI overtop it would be correct and account correctly as a ranged weapon.

i think only gargoyle weps get 25 hci, not bows..

they only 15.

You have one correct statement about the ranged weapon maximum intensity and one wrong statement. You could most certainly get confused because both stratics and uoguide do not show the correct information. It's not a big deal but to clarify to you:
