well it is done.
i started my character on seige on / about may 18th. and last saturday i officially topped him off, working his stats to 255 and his skills to 710 (i'm a 2 year vet).
i have to say that this process was hardly the time consuming bear that everyone seems to make it out to be.
during my time spent here i gained more of an appreciation for this great game. I learned much more about the landscape of sosaria, having to move on foot in the early part of the training being not having high enough magery to gate.
i also found some nice obscure out of the way places to hunt, places that were probably pretty active in days gone by but are totally barren of life now.
definately, i'll say things are more challenging here.
for one you really cannot run a buff suit to the same degree of what you can on the prodo shards, factions not withstanding but that's o.k.
in the few fights i've been in (i'm a tamer so i really don't pvp with him) i find it to be a bit more balanced than the prodo shard i play on.
a few of the highlights:
killed a guy by trinsic gate who flagged on me the first 36 hours i was on the shard. put 5 brown bears on him. this would never happen on a prodo shard.
met shalimar of new who was a huge help and is a real asset to this shard.
killed the guy who looted the guild house the nite of the looting in front of wbb. looted and cut up his armor.
joined GIL, who are mature laid back people.
keyed several peerless. got two gold hair dyes and a crimmy.
won the crimmy on the subsequent roll.
tamed a killer dragon on shard up. 950 hp with big magery and near perfect resists.
got a mempo at shadow lords.
got killed afk, which taught me a lesson about how to act here.
LUNA bank is deserted...
just the fact that you have to move cautiously and watch your back gives a whole different sense to the game.
low's
got killed by que while in new and training.
got dry looted in tokuno by SP i think.
i don't even know if those are lows though.
all in all it has been a good time which is the overall point of playing.
For the life of me I don't know why more people don't play here.
Broadway Joe.
