Is there still a way to safely move them?

I know that I relocated one shortly after AoS...but now, I cannot remember how I did it. What's the routine these days?

As nearly as I can tell, the guild leader plays no significant role now (when it comes to moving a stone). So...it's the house owner, and what...an axe? *shudders at the thought* It's not locked down, so...yeah.

Any information will be appreciated! Thanks :)

Used an axe on mine but that was what, 5 years ago? I would keep looking around or page a GM. But get in line behind me. I swear Dor, if they lose another item of mine.... ugh....

I still have a couple of your things, sir. You are welcome to have them, IF you are going to stick around. *grins*

I still have yer Dread Pirate hat, your blessed AoS sash, and some other stuff, I'm sure.

Dor, yes it's scarey, but I've moved our old guildstone a couple of times... use an axe on it and it redeeds like other house add-ons

(and I just went ingame and did it again, to be sure nothing had changed ;) )

I've moved mine many times when decorating and have no problems. Just use an axe on it and deed goes in your backpack.

I understand the reason they got rid of the guild stone. But I kinda look at that as another one of the changes with unintended consequences. It hurt the idea behind the guild house. Now that all guild functions can be done everywhere...I know at least I have, seen less need of a formal guild house where guild things get done.

Guildstones were something special. They should never have been done away with. The new system is more convenient, but guild stones were more fun, and part of what gave UO it's distinct character. I personally think that was a bad decision - not game breaking, but still not a good decision.
