An account items search tool which was suggested a while back (I think it should work on all of the containers in an account's home and also within the bank boxes of the account's characters), would be a wonderfull idea.

Claimable only by oldest accounts but usable by all. Not ground breaking (players can still search for their items without it, the old way, one by one, or using storage management) and yet, it would be an helpfull addition and recognition of the support that veterans have given to the game keeping their account as active for so long.

New vet rewards doenst necessary mean 13'th or 14'th year rewards. And 'having plans for new vet rewards' doenst mean that some will be implemented in the next future.

Race/Sex/Name/XFer tokens? We already have full soul-stones as rewards.

Unique skin hues?

Tattoos?

Unique hair-styles?

Item converter? (Make your items change appearance to something of the same item category)

Ethereal Item tool? (Makes worn items invisible, helping with the style problems players face)

A tool that gives items unique item looks? (Like the above, only you can change 1 item per 1 selection of this tool, into something not available in the game other-wise)

A unique name tag?

A way to tame a single creature per selection that normally cannot be tamed? (Restrictions please, but I wouldn't mind a tamed Ancient Wyrm even if it was for Trammel only)

A lottery ticket to a castle plot? ;P

An item like the Morph Ear Rings to allow Gargoyles to use Human and Elf items?

A Self-Repair balm? (Target an item and make it Self-Repair for 1 Hour, usable only once every 24Hrs or something)

An item that when carried by a player increases gold drop on creatures? (Would have to be a nice increase or perhaps a player could carry more than 1 of that item?)

A pouch to place consumables in, which is blessed? (Potions, bandages, apples, trap boxes staying with you when you die?)

Customizable castle and keep sized plots placing tool? (So that a veteran could sell it too)

A ticket that gives you a percentage of all the subscription money you've paid for UO so far, in gold? (Price rate should be the average price per million out there)

Ability to increase a skill to above 120?

More skill points?

More stats points?

Access to unique weapon specials, skill upgrades(admittedly thinking about better poisons here) and abilities or spells?

Power hour? (Every 24Hrs using this item allows the player increased gains in the style of those new scrolls, 1 Hr duration)

Rose plants -- a group of various hued roses that give unlimited seeds if watered and taken care of. Don't die, but may go dormant, in which case they have to be re-planted and taken through the full plant cycle to return to their original seeding state. If you do so, can cross pollinate with other roses to generate new colors. Can cross pollinate with other types of plants, but only to potentially generate mutant plants. The "children" roses and plants can be clipped, but the originals cannot.

I've been playing since Beta and I don't have grandfathered houses. I never had them either. I know of one person who owns grandfathered houses and he doesn't really play UO. His accounts are active, but he typically spends his free time with the Trekkies of Second Life . I'd be curious to see a poll of how many players have grandfathered houses these days.

It's more like a bonus that comes along with the added 5 skill points players get for each of the first 4 years.

Why ?

I mean, as I see it, the best candidate for a Veteran reward is something that is highly desirable though not unbalancing for the game.

So, it got to be something that people may wish to have but, if they do not have it, they can still play the game just fine, just not with the same ease or conveniency.

Now, this said, the older the account, the more desirable (highest appeal) should the reward be, IMHO.

I happen to thing that an item search tool could well fit into this category.

It would definately not be unbalancing since players not having it could still search for their items one by one or organizing better their containers as they do now and yet, it would definately be a handy thing to have for a more convenient game play.

I actually see it as a perfect candidate for high end Veteran rewards..........

Why ?

It's a complex and abundantly useful system, one that should be available to anyone. To give it to some and not others would be like reneging on bulk order books or rune books or something. You may say you're adding for some, not taking away from others, but it amounts to the same thing.

Rest assured, you'll get you 80mil trinket no matter what. You don't need to exclude others from what should be a fundamental game design to protect your annual cash cow.

I mean when you have peeps that are 150+ months old of devoted service I think the most popular choice should win it whatever it may be.
