I've run 120 wrestle and then converted to 100 anat with 120 eval. So far, they appear to be the same. I get the same hit rate.

Another noobie question(dang , I 'm full of them this morning) When you guys are talking about defending against hits are you talking hits from JUST weapons or does this apply also to defense against magic spells too? In other words, I guess I'm asking if a toon such as a mage/tamer who is STRICTLY PVM(and avoids melee like the plague) get any benefit from gm anatomy?

Correct... excuse my wording. I consider damage either melee or magery:gee::mf_prop:
I've noticed that a number of folks on Stratics tend to refer to all weapon damage as melee, whether close or ranged. The other MMO I play, City of Heroes, makes a clear distinction between melee (close weapon) and ranged. Curiously though, folks there don't generally distinguish between weapon and magic damage.

I looked up "melee" at the wikipedia:

* http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melee

In short, common usage is the melee is close damage. I'll try to adapt my understanding here on Stratics though, that many UO players think in terms of melee and magic instead.
