see there is another one that could be implemented into the advance character service.
i also think adding to that service might help combate people scripting these skills, never know tho.
i would rather see positive changes tho than see more people banned or not playing because they find some things to difficult.
I'm not a fan of banning scripters. I prefer to inconvenience the bloody hell out of 'em instead
Incidentally - the one time I did catch up with a scripter and very politely asked him not to do it, I was subjected to the most foul mouthed stream of abuse you can imagine. Someone had killed him, and he thought he should be able to script and break the rules without interference.
If we want a level playing field start, then we should all either start with advanced chars or not. And if we're not, then no tokens. If people can't be bothered to take the time to work at a skill to raise it (and hey, it's gonna be worse from advanced, right? Higher skill, slower gains etc) then why bother to play the game? Not because they love it and care about it, that's for sure. I often wonder if there's a correlation between the 'I WANT IT NOW' attitude we see in rl, where people go into debt for things that really aren't necessary, but because they 'have' to have the latest car/gadget/house/boat/stock portfolio and the scripters. I think maybe the want it nows are creating the market for the scripters, which is really really sad.
Btw, the char I see most often scripting is tamer, which is already available via advanced chars. Kinda blows that theory out the window, huh?
