They are ALL on Asuka. Seems like they figured out a way to some how get all those points. IMO most likely thru exploit.

Especially there's a "grace period" in between kill where you cant get points from killing. I am almost positive it has something to do with the invasion patch and the new sigil corruption rule.

Are faction points a new thing? or could they have built up those points over how ever long they'v been about? have noticed asian shards are big on there PVP so that could just be years of playing. If not then there's gota be some exploit to get that many that fast!!!

Its an exploit because every single guild from Asuka wasn't even close to the leaderboard two days ago, now they jumped everyone by 800,000 points.

They do give out to much though...

people I don't even see PvP have tons. Stealth archers have tons... everyone is hoarding them and not playing on those characters.

Makes everyone house hide as well.

I believe they just used a loophole involving the warzone bonus. The warzone bonus basicly adds points every time you kill someone in it. If you kill someone with 100 points, you will get 10 points from the kill + another 20 from the warzone bonus, but the person you killed would have only lost 10. So if you had 0 points to begin with you will now have 30 points. The person that had 100 can now kill you to gain 9 points(3 from the 30 and 6 from the warzone bonus), almost gaining back his 10 points. Now just continue on a cycle of killing people and watch everyone's points rocket to the sky.

You can imagine how fast you can generate points with this if you have 20 people from different factions killing eachother constantly at the healers.. :)

On Asuka, it would take more than just a few days to get from as few kill points as they had to over 800K tho.
That would take massive killing and cooperation between the factions 24/7.

They did find an exploit somewhere/somehow. For the past 2-3 months my guild led the leaderboard in faction kill points and now you have these guilds with millions of points, just look at rumbleFish he alone has 33.8 million points.

You can only get kill points off a player once in 24 hr game time. That means that if I kill you and get 30 points i have to play 24 games hours and so do you before I can get any points from you again

Are you sure about this? I thought you only had to go through another 5-6 people to complete your kill cycle, reseting the first person on your list. I'm sure if I don't play for 3-4 days, log in and kill someone that I have recently killed, I will still get the message: You have recently defeated bla bla bla even after 72+ hours. So I highly doubt it has anything to do with time. Please show me where you found this information, and don't post a link to your imagination. =)

True, but if you have lets say 30 people cooperating systematically you can make it work. You do crosskilling making people starting to get ****loads of points. Or then they have some other exploit.

I don't even understand this comment.

There is no rumbleFish. There is no 33.8 million points. There are no guilds with "millions" of points.

Certainly I must be missing something here.

Also: It's kind of interesting how many characters in that top 20 list are newbie characters wearing death robes that have non-GM Anatomy, Alchemy, and Focus, in that order.

all those newbie characters on one shard and now they all have 800,000 a piece. i have a answer to the use of the exploit devs.

just delete the shard, that would teach em to cheat!

The only solution is to reset all points to 0 now. Messing with the point system was a bad idea to begin with. Why break something that worked fine to begin with?

Don't fix what aint broke...

Well you need to remeber some of those people are probly being paid to work on the game to sell gold to, and so they need to be online 24/7 so they are just getting points from none stop stone collection and mass killings :| or maybe not lol.. 800K :| oh wow...

nwys... reset all scores to 0 :| but man would i love to kill just one of them.. 10% of..
OMG!!!

Well, if you go look at the updated numbers for Asuka http://town.uo.com/factions/factions_21.html you will see the figures are in the millions now. I think this coupled with the fact that many of these chars are clearly new is a GLARING case of exploit.

Its one thing to complain about thieves getting 10 points per successfully corrupted sigils, but this is an entirely different case that needs immediate investigation and correction.

Besides, with the current invasion, its hard enough for a thief to corrupt all 8 sigils without any going neutral when the town's invasion is defeated so complaining about thieves getting 10 points should be a total non issue. If anything, the time the towns are controlled by each Faction should be increased.

I think they are abusing the kill point bonus mechanic in war zones. If you get 110% kill points, then a dedicated group of players could easily start a system where they start racking up the points.

The system was designed so it would be extremely difficult to earn kill points. Thief points and special bonuses negated that.

Someone said it takes 24 hours before you can earn points from someone again, that isn't how it works. You can earn points from someone if you kill enough other players. So if you kill 6 I think it is, you can earn points again from the first one. Five people with an account or two each could easily game the system if you think about it.

Prediction: Asuka shard crashes once one of those azn's hits a punkte score so high that when they say "punkte" it exceeds the limit of characters allowed!

I stole two sigils the other night and we took control of the towns. I was not logged in when we took control and I did not get the points. Do you have to be logged in to get the points?

Not exactly true JC, I farmed points from 18 dif chars on catskills for silver and get a suit over there and I still had to wait 24 r/l hours to kill the first guy and get points again.

As stated by somone before once you get to a certain level with the Bonus in War zones.

100s quickly become thousands and so on, 24 hours wont matter much once you hit that level.

If an "Order" faction member kills a "Chaos" member, they receive 2x kill-points, and 2x silver
Bonus kill-points are not deducted from the victim, they’re just a bonus given to the victor

Winner has 50 kill points, victim has 21. Result from the death of the victim: winner gets 10% of the victim's kill points, rounded down to the nearest whole number (10% of 21, or 2 kill points). The victim then has 19 kill points, and the winner of the fight has 52 kill points.

so from above instead of 52 it would be 54

For example, assume the victim had 100 kill points and the winner of the fight had zero kill points. 10% of this goes to the victor, from the victim. Therefore the victim moves to 90 kill points and the winner of the fight now has 10 kill points. A minimum of 1 kill point is awarded each time a faction player dies, if the victim's kill point total is 19 or lower.

so now we get to 1000 and victor has 900, 10% = 10 x 2=20 you can see how this goes faster really easy

:D

anyhow all they do is the 20 chars all donate the points to one char then every in the opposing guild kills that char wash rinse and repeat by donating you points around all the chars in a guild masking sure you stay at top rank within hours a two large guild coul easily exceed 1000 point
