Ridiculous.
Ridiculous.
Given today's economy I would say silence is bad. Over the course of UO silence has usually preceded some internal change or move. Since they are making us wait for and pay for 11th anniversary rewards I would take that to mean the company has moved on and is just milking us for that last few coins before pulling the plug."Silent devs is not a bad thing. It just means they're busy or on vacation"
this is one thing not a big one now the fact that the login screen that 100% of players use is outdated by so much is huge and just totally unacceptable

Kindof what to say yea.. because when something occurs it generally is a nerf, to something good, a "temperary weakening" of a skill, or the removal of XXX... but that isn't really that bad, really when the news is, oh yea.. there is lag, and yeah... hrmm best of luck to y'all's "|No news in my book..is dang good news... ;D
hopefully busyWhen the devs are silent it usually means they are very busy working on something. When they have time to talk it usually means they just finished the busy part of their dev cycle.
Silent devs is not a bad thing. It just means they're busy or on vacation![]()
Heheh, yeah I kinda suffer from rectal occulosis myself, considering that nothing has been said, actually for a while before the holidayWhat is with all these cranial self-proctologists
I realized that. She posted like every day, and at least tried to get out voices out to the team. I know that was her job an all but, still, I found her genuine nature impressive. You never realize what you have until its gone.
Jeremy really did take good care of us.
this is foolishness, communicating with the playerbase should be part of their dev cycle. When the devs are silent it usually means they are very busy working on something. When they have time to talk it usually means they just finished the busy part of their dev cycle.

yeah, and since there's been horrible lag for over a month, you figure we might hear something about that once in a while.Have to agree with this.. I kind of hope and pray the silence means there busy at work on getting SA ready, but you never know with things that are going on in todays economy. It would just be nice to hear from them so we know there still around..hehe. I least would have thought by now we would hear when the 11th anniversary stuff would be for sale and maybe abit more about what will be in Pub 57 and when to expect it on test center.
This is insulting, especially coming from a moderator. There has been severe, game stopping lag for over a month. I call that a major issue. What is with all these cranial self-proctologists, trying to find issues where there are none?
I think it's silly you call that foolishness, because that's how it works and it's an efficient way for it to work.this is foolishness, communicating with the playerbase should be part of their dev cycle.
you seem to have structured this whole post as a gotcha moment against me while, if anything, you have simply agreed with me in a long winded way. you misunderstood my post. as part of the Dev cycle, the person who is supposed to be communicating with us should be doing that. Joanne has made like 5 posts in the past 3 weeks.I think it is unreasonable and unrealistic to expect devs (as in designers and coders) to take a lot of time out of their already busy days to come talk with the community. I think it's more realistic to expect to see devs participating with the community when they are looking for direct feedback or when they are just kicking loose for a moment.
I think the devs lurk here a lot more than they post.
It's the job of the community coordinator to keep the players in touch with what's coming without releasing information before the information is deemed credible. Obviously, things like the release of KR happen when miscommunication happens in this channel.
