But right now, I've played too much since the last patch and need a break.

And from the way guild chat looks for our guild, there are a lot of people who are thinking the same way. Either people are crafting, working characters up for the next "event" or are just not playing. I suspect that your shard is the same way.

So it isn't the lack of loot that has us away, but the preparation for future loot or the desire to do something else for a while.

I agree it's nice to see some new monsters and events but because they are new they like any new content get experimented with and quickly accepted or rejected. With the invasions going for a long period of time it's just showing that yea they were and are fun, but not something that should be there as a constant in the fashion they are right now. I don't know if Pub 57 is going to play into the invasion or not but if Pub 57 just makes them vanish and something else show up elsewhere I'll be disappointed because it will mean that the invasion overall had little point other than distributing new loot and keeping us occupied for a couple of weeks.

u can pray sunny waether as long as u want, but if u open the frontdoor you see the rain

the truth(everyone can see this) is, that except of 3-4 shards, ALL others are empty right again the events end or they realice that the efford to do is in NO way worth it.

a handfull of poster here may say they hunt not for items, they hunt for FUN only,
maybe that is true, BUT it is NOT what the majority want/do
(worthfull rewards are FUN to)

or a other example are the magincia rubbel items.
LOL, so nice items,and nothing worth, because everyone has at last 18pcs of them.
they could make those items for thiefes,stealable in towns ,that whould be fun for thiefes for a long long time,and there would be new demand for deco items to Sell/BUY

Speak for yourself Der. Baja is still very lively. But we do tend to play for the joy of playing, not just the rewards. I'm not saying everyone on Baja is that way but a good majority are. People heal whoever is helping take down whatever. It's not just about the generals. It's about enjoyment. Anyway just saying don't generalize just cause your experience isn't the best.

Oh and as for dexxers not being included, we have several that do just fine.

Not sure what shard you play on but I know on the Atlantic many dexer (fencing, swords, and macers) ARE DOING the invasion. Maybe its just your shard.

I don't see the game in terms of 'how much is this worth?' I had no need for multiple items that didn't fit my house's decor, so I didn't collect them.

I do what I enjoy doing. Some days that might be collecting arcane gems, some days it might be seeking out a paragon balron.

Materialism has gone through the roof, to where people actually spend real life cash on pixels they don't even own. Now that's lame.

it is the rule that most player hunt for reward, if the reward is worth nothing,it´s boring

There are plenty of things to collect, and I'm positive that you don't have all of them.

I run an EXTREMELY successful vendor shop, and it's not even in Luna. If you fail when you try to run one, then that's on you, not the game. Plenty of people run vendor houses and have no problems with it.

Artifacts and enhanced loot still sell very well on vendors, and it's not that hard to come by things to enhance.

Yes, there are not many items left in uo that i did not steal ,loot or got
(u can resaerch on UO-Trade.Net what i have sold in the past for example(if that is still possible,dont know),in that time i was one the the big seller on uo-trade.net)
(NO,no server birth ultra rare collector, because i had the game unopen in the basement situated for some years,cant remember why,to busy at that time maybe)
i also had succesfully vendors in the past,but if there are no buyers,vendors are obsolete
i had an extremly succesfull thief (i was so hated,because i could help to send many cheater to the ban- nirvana LOL)
Yes, i had a LOT of fun to play my playstyle in UO, but over the years with the lack of players,there is not much left to do.

The main problem (i think) is everytime a handfull of complainers cry for nerf and twaeks the dev´s jump on that. THEY nerf it, 5 complainer are satisfied and 500 player left the game for that.
that is what i accuse to the Dev´s

(apostille:the biggest sad thing off ALL is that the dev´s has the cheater/duper/scripter part to long be unattended)

What else should they judge it by? The fact that it takes like 30 boring minutes to kill a general? The fact that nothing is acomplished by fighting the invasion because they just restart, and even if you left them there all they do is mill about, they don't hurt the town. Nothing is at risk.

It's just kinda boring at this point.

I didn't say anything against your playstyle. That's the great thing about UO, it's flexibility. If you are relying on dev events to have fun and you can't seem to find anything else to do that you find enjoyable, maybe you need a break. Happens to most of us.

As I pointed out though, even on small shards, there's usually a few people willing to do something. If that falls through, in a few days you'll have new holiday gifts to occupy your time for a couple hours.

i do and am looking forward to atlantic actually having some invasions...
so what about durability point's ,, just repair then use some powder of fortifying on them.. vola like new again
personally i think the loot is good, especially the books and weapons.
the best thing they could do would be to make the town invasions permament.
