I have to disagree there. I'm as far from PvP as a player can be, but what I see is a dev team that is making an effort to explore all the facets of play that draw people to the game.

For my Xmas wish list ... hmm ... have compassion quests give stockings marked for the character who completed the quest. Then on Christmas day, if a character has exactly one stocking with their mark locked down in their house, it gets filled with a small stuffy toy.

...or add a group of instruments that each play a part of a seasonal tune, so that if a group of bards each with an instrument play in harmony, you get an orchestra effect/

... or a candy cane recipe

... or a "heavy winter cloak" (ice elemental / snow elemental protection)

... or a "living snowball" (double-click, target opponent and it summons a snow elemental to attack that target)

... secret santa (add things to a gift box and place it in a donation box and you get a ticket - a few days later, you can redeem the ticket for a random box that was donated)

... bagball court turned into a hockey rink

... armored polar bears

... world peace (wait ... that might not be as much fun as it sounds)

Hmm...but what would those who haven't got counts get? A doublet with the tag "I didn't kill anyone this year and all I got was this lousy doublet"..?

All I'm saying is, a gift like that would be really useful for anyone with counts, and those without counts should really get something equally useful. Millimetre justice and all that *grins*!

Reds can only res at chaos shrine or be ressed by other reds, reds can't enter any town except Bucc's Den. If reds had some disadvantages like they used to, then maybe a minus murder count token might be acceptable, right now tho... No.

A Pear Tree

Beds to be dyable

New mythical creatures like Chimereas, Gryphons, Hippogriffs, Cerberus,

Put things like Mer-people and "Nessie" in the water

some neat tamables like a Phoenix, Bubo(a wise advice giving owl), Pegasi, and Mumakils!

New peerless Medusa She has uber deadly poison, Paralyze sight, Oh she's deadly archer her Archery is beyond Legendary, and her blood is an acid
(And you thought Lord Proxyamus was a PITA!!!!)

New cooking addition Brewmeister!! (Brew Master for the non-German speakers) you can use kegs to hold the beer you make. (Kegger anyone??? LMAO) You can make differ types of Ale, Mead, lager etc

Last but not least I would like Feluccians and Trammies to live in Peace and harmony.....lol right that's not gonna happen cause: the Feluccians would PK the Trammies in 2 seconds and the Trammies would scream bloody murder.
I really would like us to get along!

At one of the first Town Hall meetings this year, the developers mentioned that they would be introducing a method for murderers to lose their murder counts. They didn't provide any real details, other than to say, "it will cost you something." My guess is that whatever they come up with will be part of the virtue system.

Wouldn't exactly say useful, since most "murderers" (reds) have 1000+ counts. That's a lot of characters and accounts to get just one red blue!

There are many things i want for Christmas i will only name a small hand full of them.

1. Multiple Christmas Theme music notes for my music box that we can play year round if we want.
2. A Santa Clause Deco.
3. An 11th anniversary token.
4. Holiday Theme house customization tiles including snow.
5. Christmas Theme snow Globes including a north pole Snow Globe with Santa's work shop that we can get a big view of and maybe even enter it like entering a mini world.
6. A Santa Suit maybe even a Mrs. Clause suit for the ladies and a little helper elf suit.
7. Tinsel, garland, icicles and snow in a can to give our Christmas tree and other holiday deco items a snowy look plus optional blinking or non blinking light bulbs to add to our Christmas tree and house anywhere we desire.

Those are just some of the stuff that i can think of that i want for my 2008 Christmas in UO.

ooo so many great ideas. I would love the jewerly box and seed packets. The idea of garlands would be great also and snow wonderful, wonderful snow. For the cooks how about letting us make chocolate cakes, fudge, and hot chocolate. Oo and chocolate chip cookies. And yes let us become brew masters. After all we have the sugar cane and hops.

Awww, hot chocolate would be great! Crafted in specially-hued mugs for the holidays. I could see some love for Tinkering and Cooking implemented. Maybe a standard graphic for hot chocolate, with the ability to craft it in the special mugs. This way more templates could particpate in one or both crafts, and also trade cocoa for mugs.

How about Tree Ornaments with different hues and festive wishes on them dropping on monsters as loot? Make sure to include all levels of monsters here so that all characters can particpate, newbies and crafters too!

I like holiday activities that all characters can enjoy. Advanced content and cross shard gifts are great too, as I know many players really enjoy that. I think our Dev Team is more than capable of implementing different events/content for all types of play. Halloween had a little something for just about everyone, and I would love to see this type of creativity continue for all new content! Go Devs!

Definately the snow...I wasn't around for it before, and I would love to experience this season!

I like the idea of a deed or token that gives a choice like a hertige token.
Give options like these.

1. Official Brittanian Pardon for all crimes. Good for one use only. After all everyone deserves a new start.

2. A holiday package of various previous holiday gifts and new ones. Maybe add holiday turkey/goose, a strand of glowing gems/candles for deco, a teddy bear deco, holiday gnomes, penguin deco, dove deco, large bow deco (dyeable), garland like the curtains instead, and jingle bells like a wreath for your door, and flaming plum pudding.

3. Soulstone fragment of 12 uses.

4. Elf suit

5. Item bless deed. Bless one item of your choice character specific.

6. Christmas rose and candle with greeting.


I've other ideas to toss out there if the dev's would consider it.

Have a few elves in Heartwood give out quests for seeds and recipes. This way crafters, gardeners, and fighters can all do them. Only a limited time though!

Naturalist quests can offer seeds or a bulb as a reward.
Rewards list

1. Pear tree seeds. Produce pears as a resource.

2. Poinsetta seeds. Offer blue, white, and red colors ranging from common, uncommon, rare. No seeds or resources produced.

3. Christmas cactus seeds. Yes, we already have them, but offer white as a rare color. No seeds or resources produced.

4. Holly tree/bush seeds. Green and red colored with no seeds or resources.

5. Pine tree seeds. No seeds or resources produced.

6. Amaryllis bulbs. No bulbs or resources produced. Comes in red or white.

1. Eggnog. Ingredients: Eggs, milk, liqueur.

Other limited time ideas my hubby and I thought of are;

Coal as an uber rare mineable for limited time.
Spawn holiday music gears on golems ranging from common, uncommon, rare.
Pine cones as a lumberjacking resource like the fungi and parasitic.
Spawn nuts on squirrels!

I liked the secret santa idea except you know lots of people would just put garbage in the boxes and hope they get something awesome . but maybe if we all got xmas gift deeds with several different possible gifts that could come of it and it can only be redeemed by someone else, so people would need to find someone to trade tickets with, or just trade with their other characters.
Or a simple token with different christmassy gifts to choose from would be nice .
I doubt something like that would make it into the game before xmas gifts are given but maybe they can think about doig it for next year .

I actually hate the poinsiettas. i find them ugly, maybe they would look good in a different color and different pot, IDK.
Hated the giant candles with the bows too, man were those ugly.

Garland or strings of light would be so awesome.


Special xmas related monster loot would be pretty cool too. I mean for regular creatures not a peerless or champ boss . that would suck. But medium difficulty monsters with 25% chance of dropping something would be cool.

I mean come on the stick chick Dryad uses peace/calming on us. The Satyrs can disco you and make your clothes fall off!! Why on God's good green earth bards can't do the same in PVP is beyond me! I think it'd be fun and hilarous. Can't you just see some gimped out sampire getting hit with the no clothes thing running for their life LMAO!! I'm not even a "real" pvper but this would be fun!!
