ATM, it is impossible to relive or recover history. That's all this is ... rehashing stuff that will NEVER be back - even in it's original form.
You don't think UO has suffered enough player loss? You want to lose more????. . . The answer is easy, close down tramel and gief phat lewts la!
closing down trammel is not the solution and won't ever happen. You don't think UO has suffered enough player loss? You want to lose more????
The only players left are those of Trammel. Unfortunately. The answer is easy, close down tramel and gief phat lewts la!
I don't often agree with you on things ... but on these points I do 100%.... bringing stat loss (or something similar) back in a thoughtful way might help. ... miners might not mind dying to a PK as much if they know the murder count they are handing out actually means something.
February? why?The only players left are those of Trammel. Unfortunately.
This Fel player feels like the Omega man. And come February this Omega man will also be gone.
Would the last person to leave Fel please turn off the lights.
Last time I checked you could still soul stone all your skills off delete and remake a blue in just a few min.Bring back stat loss? Have you been smoking crack? That's one of the few decent changes that have come about!
Especially with all this choppy lag. Not to mention the fact that most PKs would need to macro constantly for about 8 years to go blue again.
The answer is easy, close down tramel and gief phat lewts la!
My last 6 month subscription runs out.February? why?
Cant fix it. Too much would need to be done to make it worthwhile. It can still be a good game, but not as good as it had ought to be. They would need a uo2 imo.ATM, it is impossible to relive or recover history. That's all this is ... rehashing stuff that will NEVER be back - even in it's original form.
BUT one point I do agree with ... stat loss, even now, would probably do more to liven up Fel than anything I can think of. Why? For the same reasons as in that thread ... it made for tangible consequences to being a PK.
I totally agree here but unfortunately it goes a little deeper. The devs have brought this game so far from what is was its almost impossible to try and turn it back to what it was in its hay day.A

The opinion of one person from back in the day is worth more than 40 of the current trammies because they understood what made UO great. The fact that these guys are called UO Elites means nothing, they have been there and make a lot of good points. To be honest,, the forums are more fun than this game anymore. Especially with this terrible event ruining the only system I used...Certain people need to spend thier time playing the game as opposed to sitting on forums bashing it.
And besides, who cares what a forum of self proclaimed UO Elites say.
i agree. there should be an option to start in Tram or Fel explaining the differences. well there should have been a long time ago.All new characters start in tram and are never introduced to pvp. They are harbored and babied in tram and just told never to go to fel, where the bad people are....
That has to be the bigest pile of crap I've read in a really long time. The opinion of one person from back in the day is worth more than 40 of the current trammies because they understood what made UO great.

What made the game great for you is not necessarily what makes a great game.
And, claiming that the opinion of the group that agrees with you is worth even remotely more than the group that disagrees with you is bull****.

For them maybe. Many, many of these trammies of which you speak seem to be having a great time in UO. If these so called elites claim they know how UO should be run then why isn't anyone listening to them? I'd suggest most people are happy the way things are. Must be a lot more of them I guess...The opinion of one person from back in the day is worth more than 40 of the current trammies because they understood what made UO great.

Your post is nothing more than verbal diarrhea. We all know how people miss the days of easy kills and 2 hit combos that made the game great. UO is and always will be unique because it's Ultima. Not because you could kill people that didn't know to play the game as good as you back in the day. *pukes*To this day UO '98/'99 is arguably still the best pvp game ever. AC DT would be its only competition. But if the devs can't realize what made UO unique then there is no hope for any of us. This game will grow farther and farther away from what made it good and closer to what makes us all stay away from WoW.
UO is what it is, TODAY. Either you play it or you don't. I don't think I've ever sat here saying, "Geee I wish Everquest was everything I ever wanted! Oh I miss those days! Bring back [insert ancient game feature or methodology here]!" The only game people still yap about wishing it was this or that or the other thing is UO - proving its value to the gaming community yet again.you guys hang on to specific eras or publishes like it means something.
With the current state of UO I only see one possible solution.closing down trammel is not the solution and won't ever happen. You don't think UO has suffered enough player loss? You want to lose more????
stat loss is an interesting topic. the risk in Felucca is probably too high. bringing stat loss (or something similar) back in a thoughtful way might help.
there's more interest in factions now, and the 20 minute stat loss has certainly changed the pvp dynamic.
miners might not mind dying to a PK as much if they know the murder count they are handing out actually means something.
Well people tattle on me all of the time. So now every time someone breaks a rule, I will be hitting the Notify button. As a general note to the thread here...
I find it ironic that notifies are flying in, pointing to individual posts that are by no means as 'nasty' as the link provided by the OP.
It's like this....
